People in chat really dont get the time. it is accelerated by like x940 which means that 1 day irl is 2 1/2 years ingame (which means the 2 years kirito spent ingame were 19h irl) no idea someone said its been 3 months and another said its been weeks 1min irl is 16 hours ingame 1 second irl is 16mins ingame which also means that they are unable to intervenir

I think what Ruukasu97 is trying to say is with the information we currently have that would be the more reasonable thing to believe. I'm sure there are other things that are imaginable. Spoilers below We know why the outside world never intervenes it just hasn't been fully explained yet in the show yet.

As far as I know anime don't really make much money, or at the very least it is a rare event. Think of anime as ads for their source material (Manga, Light Novels, e.t.c.) and they also sell merchandise. That's why original animes are so rare because they have to be a hit for merchandise to sell while anime with a source material usually tend to do better because of how the source material is usually good otherwise it wouldn't have been adapted to begin with.

i just looked at the dates, Asuna arrived july 5 2026 on the turtle, time was accelerated by 940. we can see on the screen that the demon tree is still standing. which means that it was before the 2 year timeskip because the skip happened right after it fell The next morning july 6 2026 Asuna and rinko went to get breakfast, after that scene it cuts to kirito and alice climbing the tower. The timing fits perfectly because when asuna arrived the sun was high in the sky so probably around 11:00 - 14:00. so 19h later and youre at breakfast time

The best part about the german dub of SAO is this interaction between Chudelkin, Bercoulli and Eugeo. Because their german VAs are the voices of The Rock (Bercoulli), Tom Holland (Eugeo) and Buggs Bunny (Chudelkin). Just the sound stage of these interactions was really really weird. Especially when considering how weird chudelkin is. XD

As someone who works with computer simulations, it's actually EXTREMELY common for simulations to run without observation during their runtime especially at max speed. There would be some alarms in terms of some params that we're observing, in this case, the fact that "Alice" broke the taboo, but by the time someone goes in to check on the metrics and logs and see what happened, time passed and move too fast, so you're always playing catchup in realtime as a human troubleshooting or monitoring anything. The fact that Luke and his chat aren't getting that, every single stream, irks me. Because even if they did see something, nearly 2.5 years passed in less than a day, so by the time someone can react to anything, even with 5 minutes is nearly 48 days of things happening. All you can do is look at what we call a "snapshot" of an event, but you can never truly observe EVERYTHING in realtime, you can only watch at a generic level. And even if they wrote code specifically to track KIRITO and nothing BUT kirito, that time slippage is extremely hard to catch up to. And for those in the chat saying "well why dont they just slow down time DUH", well, yes and no, IF they had reasons to interfere, they might be able to slow down the time dilation but again, they havent seen what happened to Kirito and Eugeo yet. For all they know, these 2 are having croissants with 2 hot girls acting as their apprentices back at the mansion. And even if they did decide to slow down anyway, we forget 2 things: 1- the military people dont give 2 damns about the world in the "game/simulation" because they see themselves like me, programmers and coding stuff, they're not seeing them as humans. It's not different than how many times us software engineers compile code and then go "eh, this is taking too long, or it broke" and then just ignore it and reset. And finally 2- Lets say they cared about that world, they wouldnt want to slow down the time dilation because their goal is to have kirito, who suffered brain damage, use the simulation as a way to spark his neuron network. If they slowed down, then it will take much longer for kirito to recover and might put him at more risk in the real world than in the simulation world... Also....1 last thing, people need to stop nitpicking about the "why X or why Z"... how many times did single super hero movies spark the "where were the other avengers at that time?" ... like... people arent omnipresent, they can only handle so many tasks at once, including sleeping... for all we know many of these events happened during the time the programmer took to open his protein bar snack... let it go people, and adopt suspension off disbelief SOMETIMES if YOU do not believe in these explanations... otherwise... trust the explanations as potential devil's advocate to why some things happen in AN ANIME.
