I think Season 2 is very powerful, and thematically brilliant, and has a really strong message, but I think Season 1 is more lovable. I've rewatched season 1 a few times, but I'm not sure I'd ever want to rewatch season 2 on my own (as opposed to watching someone else react to it...)

Season 2 has mixed reviews because it lacks in the action department comparably speaking. Just a fair warning so you're not caught off guard when the feel of the show inevitably changes.
