Erin

you saying rimuru and ainz are the same is funny bc there’s a slime gacha game and they recently did a collab with overlord and did an original story of ainz and co ending up in tempest 🤣🤣 they’re my fave isekai MCs and i find them similar aswell so it tickled me

Handler One

I think what's confusing you about the barrier is that instead of like the spell Anti-Magic Area, which prevent everyone in the area from using magic, the anti-magic barrier is keeping magical beasts and magic users from getting into the city without permission. Also Veldora just somewhat recognizes the name because it's the vampire lady that hates him for destroying her city. I think he just forgot her name again and was trying to remember, but just thought "probably not important" and went back to his manga.

NoahNotes

This season is VERY slow so far. Hope it picks up soon

Pale

Political slime talk, my favorite

Kyle Hunt

The barriers they're installing don't forcefully drain magic out of, or suppress the magic of, the inhabitants like the previous one did. It repels monsters from the outside and absorbs ambient magic that is naturally released when high ranking monsters congregate. They are implementing it because most creatures would be unable to spend much time within Tempest due to the high level of magic in the atmosphere. Veldora, however, would end up destroying the devices if her were to release his magical aura because it is far too strong for the barrier to manage. And a final note, the previous barrier was supplemented with a secondary "holy" barrier, which specifically weakens monsters.

Christophe Perrin

It doesn't really pick up for a long time. Even in the manga, there is a lot of downtime tbh.

WarTalon

I feel like the main difference between Rimuru and Ainz is that Rimuru doesn't have to pretend to know and understand everything (also he has Raphael so cover up some of his gaps in knowledge) just to keep up the facade of being a perfect leader.

Chandler Plays

I just reaffirmed by reading the manga, it will start ramping up faster from here

Stefan

Gobta don’t mess with evil oni! Veldora is a walking nuke, can’t trust him. Those guys from the ending look like espadas from Arrancar arc😂 How many plans for a party? And when will it be ?

Overlord_Ashalon

Rimuru actually does understand the plan, Ains would be lost.

Overlord_Ashalon

Tensura is a city builder, politics and talking are inevitable and are in fact the primary focus which action being secondary. It's always been that way.

Kyle Garrett

Personally I like that things are slow. The problem with series that are non-stop action, is that to keep things interesting the stakes have to rise with every fight / arc until you're fighting gods or other absurd things, despite starting as a total newbie. In a lot of ways Slime already experienced this in the first 2 seasons, so I'm glad S3 is slower to avoid that rapid power increase getting any worse. This also gives us time to actually build up characters that can be a true threat to Rimuru, rather than just having someone pop up and then get wiped out within a few episodes. Probably sucks for reaction viewership, but I think Slime fans are enjoying it.

i love the pacing. people complain but it s exactly like the novels. mofos who made this literally took the novel and went „so… lets not cut out almost anything.” „ok” LMAO. and dude the PAYOFFS IN THIS SERIES ARE INSANE. remember it s a high fantasy novel, thus ofc it has more talking than ur usual shonen stuff.

MonographicSingleheaded

6:20 not them but if they want to keep the roads safe and good for travel and business, they must be monster free as much as possible, and monsters spawn where magiculer are abundant. dude they aint creating the barrier in the city, but ON THE ROADS afa I remember and undrstand. they create a service.

MonographicSingleheaded

and it s so funny telling Gobta to get good hahah. he is the strongest goblin but it s like telling the strongest dog when he is surrounded by LIONS. lmao

Daniel Golas

I dont think thats true, give Ainz some credit he is actually very capable

MonographicSingleheaded

ps Tensura = TenSla literally, if u havent caught that XDDD <3

Techno Chemist

One of my favorite things to do when a new slime episode comes out is to see all the comments on crunchyroll complaining about the lack of action. Slime has its awesome moments, but it makes sure to give time to build them up. I honestly think that non-stop action would take away from slime as a whole.

Fay X84

All of the Oni are 妖鬼(Demon). Shion alone is 悪鬼(Evil Demon). Well, we all know that Shion is Shion. But is you put her in Demon Slayer, her name will be engraved on a Hashira sword(悪鬼滅殺) “Akki Messatsu” or Destroy Evil Demon 💦

Stefan

Off Oni are demons, but in Slime is different, they usually are nice guys, except someone:)

Yuri Huffles

Luke, one thing to note is... when the "anti-magic device" is first mentioned in this episode - they also talk about how it'll also maintain a spell. The big issue with the device used against them was that it was dialed so high that it would remove so much as to weaken them, plus there there was another spell active within that shell. For the devices planned for the road, it's not tuned so high but is set to be more passive about removing excess - while at the same time it can maintain a simple spell to not only keep the devices running to to aid a traveler.

Marcio Neves

I like that, because you actually see the development for the conflict. Better than just rush into the fight and make you ask "why?", for then have a flashback to explain and expose 😝

Marcio Neves

Momonga is quite smart person. He was the master strategist of the guild, when it was still a game. Not knowing what is being done behind his back due to lack of communication does not mean he will not understand when it is finally explained to him. He just have that persona issue of not letting his subordinates known he is clueles about some stuff 😅

MAH1RO

I just hope we dont get another Episode of just talking without anything really happening xD

Frentzy

Reincarnated as a talking slime

Faithful adaptation for sure.. but this is the wrong way 100% to adapt an anime unless the discussion itself is 'interesting'. ep 2 rimuru: Diablo do that. Diablo: ok. *later* Diablo: Ok I did it ep 3 rimuru: Diablo do that. Diablo: ok. *later* Diablo: Ok I did it ep 4 rimuru: Diablo do that. Diablo: ok. *later* Diablo: Ok I did it Now change diablo's name to every character in his crew. I summarized ep 2-4 😂. The anime should be a condensed piece of content where you only show what's relevant. And since the medium is 'visual'. Instead of saying stuff 2000 words/episode for 3 eps in a row, it would be much simpler for us to see a visual montage of the actual development, see the merchants, see the discussions of the evil guys, see what the priest says, etc. And the show needs to give us more images of character's faces, cuz for the love of god 70% of all names I heard, my brain urged me to rewatch s1-s2, after 3 years I forgot most of them. It's like throwing a new viewer right into s3.. ugh. Or they could do a drawing with "arrows" and images of faces, like detective do, on a map.... SO we can actually follow the 2000 words block of text easier.

The Pots

this is something I extremely love. I always hate when anime adaptations skip stuff even tho it's small things. (Arifureta, Mushoku Tensei, Re:Zero., etc. do all of those) so I fucking love Tensura is doing this

MonographicSingleheaded

accurate. he a slime. he talking. true lol ps I v no clue why some of u guys took it upon yourselves to tell the world just how much u hate books hahahahah

Michael

Rimuru is not like Ainz at all really, he actually knows all the plans and comes up with most of them himself. Rimuru is the one gave Diablo a basic outline of a plan, it’s just that Diablo decided to alter the plans to make it go by faster so that he could reunite with Rimuru faster.

Sakomi Arorim

The "anti-magic barrier" is not the exact same thing as the "anti-magic area" barrier used before (one can see the "anti-magic barrier" simply as a deterrent for monsters to prevent those monsters from entering the road. and those magic tools needed to be placed on/near the road as their range is not city wide unlike what was used before) Magicules are needed for monsters to exist but humans(&weaker monsters) can also die when there is too much magicules around. (strong monsters can also spawn in high density magicule areas) having a city filled with high ranked monsters raises the magicules to deadly levels. if they did not prevent most of their magicules from leaking out of their bodies. so these road safety magic tools also help with keeping the magicules low enough to keep the citizens & tourists safe

Frentzy

Call me a hater, I just will be disappointed when something doesn't match my expectations (applied to any genre of media, fail my expectation -> disappointment). Same when a music artist I listen release a new album and I expect to add 8 new songs but 7/8 are trash. I am "disappointed". Do I hate music , I guess I do... Same with webtoon solo leveling for not adding enough details from the Light novel but loving the anime for covering that... And... same with slime, they changed the pacing from s1-s2 to something else, I expected same pacing. I believe being disappointed for something not meeting your expectations doesn't instantly turn you into a 'hater'.

Fahed JKR

I want some action too I can not understand all this talk I m like ainz 🥲

plug-in panda

if you think nothing is happening then you miss the point of tensura and probably shouldnt be watching it anyway lol

plug-in panda

they didnt change the pacing, s1 is disliked by readers, it cut a bunch of content. its not our fault your expectations for the series are something that it just flat out isnt. this series is politics/world building above all else.

Silvio Guidi

this episode made me make a strange connection. it's like dr stone where we have an anime of constant growing and achieving, rebuilding a society. here rimuru is doing the same. overpowered sure, but still doing more and more: growing the city and the building, reaching new technologies and wellfare for the cietizens. of course also growin in powers and abilities, but due to the fact this was predominant in the 2 previous seasons, now it has to focus more on politics and that's why we feel a little slow pace. i hope it don't last very much longer even if still enjoyable

Oliver Schubert

"My head hurts!" As a LN reader, I'm already used to it lol

Nicholas Fox

It doesn't nullify magic its to keep monsters like the blade bear out

StrykerEvol

I actually remember one other anime with a similar slow political approach to a new season. It's calle "Log Horizon". If you like this kind of approach, maybe Log Horizon could also be something you like.
