Saturday is always SAO as scheduled normally, in chronological order. This was voted for separately as a movie to watch on Sunday by the whole community a few weeks ago. You need to chill and not take it so seriously, it literally doesn’t matter when it comes to Chronology when it’s just a retelling of floor 1

wow thats really really quiet..... i blasted everything to max on my end on a headphone and i can barely hear the anime convo. Odd, I have a copy of the anime and i played it side by side and nearly went deaf.... I do find inconsistency in the volume over the weeks, some uploads are louder than others.

For those out of the loop - The SAO Progressive movie was picked as a bonus stream for Sunday 14th April (it covers season 1 events so there were no spoilers) HOWEVER Luke's ISP was having issues so the stream was canceled - then on Saturday 20th April it was Luke's wifes birthday so there was no SAO Season 2 stream so the final batch of Season 2 episodes will be on the 27th April then next week is Ordinal scale on the 4th May then after that either Progressive 2 or Season 3.

The Progressive movies are basically wild cards since they overlap / slightly rewrite the original series - The Order goes S1 > S2 > Ordinal Scale > S3 (alicization) > S4 (War of the underworld) whilst Progressive is a re telling of the aincrad arc so when SHOULD he have watched it then? After S1 episode 14? After the end of S4? You can basically watch the first movie anytime after Episode 2.

Progressive should be avoided altogether or watched post completion of Underworld considering it is a completely Separate Canon, and Honestly the Movies are not even Canon to the Progressive light novels or Manga so should watched completely isolated from the rest of SAO.

Progressive isn't a separate canon in itself - Underworld books acknowledge the events of Progressive books. It's the movie that decided to adapt it again and add new character with some changes... Yes, they make sense to tell the story they wanted and for audience to get more content, but still..

On Diabel's death; the damage in SAO is all over-time, he actually got hit for more than his max health but his health bar was still going down. The health potion that Kirito gave him was a weak one that can only heal over time as well, and it wasn't enough to outheal the damage Diabel took. TL;DR: He wouldn't have survived even if he did drink the god damn potion

I’m guessing the brother had the game bc it released so people could have the copy or own it on their nervegear, but the narrator said the game goes live November 11 or something, probably means u can have a copy physically or digitally but cannot play until the servers go live.

Gotta call you out on calling what her friend did a "dick move." You can't expect a fourteen year old girl to be capable of watching her best friend and lifeline die, especially when she herself is about to die because she has been fighting tooth and nail to try and save her. Her perception is that her friend is dead, regardless of what she chooses to do, so she avoided watching the actual death. Think about it this way, would you want one of your kids to watch while one of their friends dies in front of them, or would you prefer for them turn away so they don't have to actually see it? The end result is the same, but one way is far less traumatizing.

The movie is great but one thing that annoys me about it is how its double not canon. The SAO Progressive light novels arent canon to the SAO story but they give us another look at Aincrad floor by floor which is great. But then in the first book this Mito girl didnt even exist so they changed the story for the movie instead of sticking to the book. A little silly as someone who read the books but still a good movie either way.

The show is different past Episode 14, you have to look at it differently also. Progressive movies are basically if you wanted SAO to be a real anime where ep 14 would be the end of the entire show. Different themes and different purposes for each project

1:10:00 my little theory about Diabel here is that he is actually Kayaba Akihiko's first character. The man tried to beat his game without relying on overassists from the system, failed to do so, and then made a new character (Heathcliff) in order to become the commander he wanted to be within his own game. Pretty sure it's not true, but it's a fun thing for me that makes Diabel's character more interesting.

I do agree that it is weird to watch progressive in the middle, and not either right at the start of the series or the end (I personally find more meaningful not to have a movie that calls back the beginning events randomly in the middle of the series xD). The very concept of calling someone pathetic because they aren't watching a series in the order of your personal preference is beyond immature, and shows a ridiculous sense of entitlement. Watching a story in chronological order makes sense for a number of reasons, and there's no justifiable reason for why one couldn't do it that way if they so choose, there's nothing "pathetic" about it. The author of the story stated himself that there was a lot of material he wanted included in the original story, but he wrote the story on a deadline and had to have them finish the game in the original story he submitted, thus leaving out a lot of the details he went back to write with Progressive. It's sort of an alternate timeline for reasons the author also explained. So what we have here, is Luke watching material that was left out of the 1st arc, after viewing the 1st arc (so no spoilers), material the author himself would have liked viewers to have had with the original story, chronologically. In what manner of logic do you think that your personal preference for watching it in the order it was released is more correct, or justified than what Luke, and the majority of his supporters decided. The only pathetic person here is you, for having the audacity, and mentality to judge someone's character as such; and to proclaim his choice as "stupid" because you aren't getting what you wanted. You're behaving like a child.
