An answer to why they do not shoot her out during the torny when a player dies in game there body still remains and so does their conscious they are just watching the game though the cameras, death gun could still walk up and shoot the body of the character. This is covered in the books but is still hinted at during the anime.

Iirc the author mentioned consuming a lot of media with that kind of villains at the time he wrote it, so he ended up implementing it himself in the story a couple of times. He doesn't plan to continue doing it tho.

It seems you've watched so much anime, that you started thinking some of the most typical storytelling techniques are somehow unique to anime. Like fights being one-sided. The reason Kirito doesn’t shoot her is bc she wants to win and he promised her a fair fight after it’s over bc he deceived her and she was mad. Another reason is bc Kirito can protect her in the tournament, if she goes back to lobby, death gun can too, and who is on the lobby, every top player in GGO would see him kill her, this way, Kirito can b with her as long as possible and not leave her side. Plus, they both wanna win and get to know who this guy is and what his motive is.

i believe what sinon is reffering to is that he feels the world inside the amusphere is more natural to him then the real world is.. he lives in there, out here he just goes to school to keep his parents happy... a drone in society, where that world is the only place he feels truly alive. Basically what japanese calls a hikimori.. a shut-in. they cut all contact with all life in the real world, and that game world is their life..

By the way, I don't get angry when the team drags me down, if we lose but I gave 100% I'll be happy. I get angry when it's me who drags the team down. But I've noticed that most players are the opposite 😂

I know chat gives you shit for not paying attention (and sometimes its deserved :P) but you've picked up on a lot of things in SAO before I did and really sleuthed out a few things for stuff coming up too. Luke as far as having hot drinks during the stream, have you tried using a mug and then just having a mug heater/warmer? It's a little electric coaster you put your mug on and it keeps the drink warm. Or just putting it in a thermos/yeti/whatever once it still hot/warm but not so much it'll burn your mouth?

By the way Luke, when they cut to random shots like the cake box during super uncomfortable or tense scenes it's usually to help you relax and recover before going back in to the tense scenes to help the audience handle them better. They use the shots you pause and rewind the same way and also to keep long dialogue scenes from getting boring/for fan service. It feels a bit weird as a viewer because they're not their for the story so much as to helping you stay focused or recover from the story.

SAO's problem is the main character is way too OP and he always wins the fight in the most dramatic way which would not be possible if it were in an actual video game. This is true for every iteration of video games Kirito plays. At the end of the day, there is this random "Mumbo Jambo" that helps him defeat an extremely powerful enemy who is otherwise impossible to beat. A Deus Ex Machina effect. Not liking SAO has nothing to do with any of the specific seasons. The anime as a whole is flawed because every time they build up a world with an intricate system just for Kirito to pull a cheat move to defeat the all-too-powerful enemy/boss. A game's system and logic are nonexistent when it comes to Kirito. Don't get me wrong. I don't dislike SAO. In fact, I love this anime because of how the characters are developed and how different social and mental issues are addressed through the character's backstory and their interaction. I think it's good anime overall but I have mixed feelings about it due to the protagonist defying logic. The way Season 3 starts and progresses is awesome but the last quarter of Season 3 is the weakest part of the entire SAO series because it's a complete mess. You will see what I am talking about when you get there.

The chat was telling you the wrong thing when you asked why the accomplice couldn't just kill Sinon now. Sure, they could have, but death gun and his accomplice made a deal that the accomplice wouldn't kill the person until death gun shot them in the game. So, Kirito and Sinon are just assuming that the accomplice will uphold the terms of their deal
