that scene of thorfinn screaming at the end is still one of the best scenes in all of anime. voice actor went crazy

Askeladd wasn't lying when he said he would withdraw his forces after killing Thors. I believe they just stole the ships afterwards and left thors crew stranded at Faroe Islands with the exception of Thorfinn who stowed away.

You might be the first person I have seen react to Vinland Saga that actually understood that Askeladd was lying and that he wasn't just joking around by suggesting Thors become their leader. Loving how intuitive you can be with characters and what the are thinking.

To help with pronouncing Askeladd's name: it's ask-ke-lad. Like in the word "lad" for young boy.

Askeladd is pronounced like Aska-lad. Like literally lad like "a boy" "going out with the lads". The Aske means like Ash as in ashes. "The Ashen Lad"
