Lelouch did look sideways, it was just the camera angle that made it look as if he looked back. That was also probably Lelouch testing the limits, as Rolo didn't react to Lelouch turning his head, Lelouch assumed he had Rolo in his grasp, and deemed it was safe to fully turn around. Also Lelouch is smart, he's not just going to use Geass on everyone, he only uses it if he needs to, if he can get someone on his side without the use of the Geass, why would he use it?

Rolo knows how Lelouch's geass works. I'm sure Rolo could pull the trigger way faster than Lelouch could voice out an order even without using his time stopping geass.

How does she know he's not there to surrender? She doesn't, she didn't claim that she did, she said it doesn't seem like he's there to surrender because he brought a nightmare, used for battle.

O.S.I. and Britannian Army are entirely different, mostly unrelated organizations. Think of it like US Army and FBI. They may share intelligence with each other but they still have their own orders and purposes. Guilford's forces are fighting the threat of Black Knights, Zero, and other terrorists, while O.S.I. are on direct orders from Emperor to spy on Lelouch and lure out C.C.

If Lulu has lens that stop hes geass, other could have such things, especially people aware of geass. And if he uses geass on Rolo, and it backfire, he will lose all credibility and be shot.

Luke, what do you think is faster? Pulling the trigger on a gun or saying a command? Also the person holding the gun can pretty much stop time just by thinking about it (or at least the result is the same). Rolo is definitely a tragic character. Can't help but feel sorry for him. Lelouch in this episode felt quite similar to Light from Death Note if we compare Rolo to Misa. The most annoying part has to be Guillford's fair fight bullshit though. Like it's gonna be a fair fight against a trained soldier who by the way has an army behind him with hostages. These type of people are even more annoying than Suzaku from the beginning.

Rolo dont want C.C. for himself, hes mission has been to get C.C. its more or less the only reason Lelouch is even alive and not killed for being Zero, they want is C.C. not a edgy teen with a evil eye. Lelouch was just bait.

In the long- term it's probably much more "profitable" and reliable to get Rolo on the Rebellion's side by manipulating him instead of using Geass. With the Geass Lelouch could only give him a single order, which regardless of how detailed or prevailing this order's effects would be is still just one single order that Lelouch can't change later down the line. Also Lelouch really hates him so that's another reason.

Rolo's geass is so fast to activate that Lelouch knows he has no time to cast his Geass to Rolo even if he is looking at his eyes. You have to remember that Lelouch needs to issue an order/command/question in order for his Geass to work on a person. AND SPEAKING TAKES TIME while Rolo's Geass is kinda instant.

I understand Lelouch at this point! Rolo is an agent who lied to him and took Lelouch's sister away! He (and Britannia) made Lelouch forget Nunnaly! For him, it's unforgivable! Even the fake memories are "real", he didn't give a fuck because Nunnaly is everything for him. That's why last season he fucked up everything, stopped thinking about what to do in the battle, and stopped caring about black knights! He always did stupid shit when Nunnaly was in danger.

It's a Britanian news reporter, in a Britanian colony... do you really expect them to treat Zero with any respect or professionalism? Remember that their entire society is built on the belief that they are a superior race. That, and Zero just showed up toa duel against one of the most acclaimed knightmare pilots in the area. As for assuming he's planning to fight, even thought Zero has a flair for the dramatic, I think it's safe to assume that showing up on a machine made for fighting is tantamount to accepting the fight.

I know I will sound toxic for any non code geass fan out there but MAN , I am happy that luke joined Suzaku Hate Club. Author managed to make one of the most annoying characters in the anime industry.

Lelouch wants Rolo to be in full control of himself as he is used and eventually discarded. Lelouch could have easily used his own Geass, but that would be unsatisfying. But keep watching you get more insight into Lelouch eventually.

I love Rolo 😭 he can be a little annoying sometimes, but when you understand his train of thought, his actions make sense. Honestly if I could have it my way, Lelouch would have BOTH of his siblings 😩 rather than just wanting Nunally. Rolo and Nunally have a lot in common when u take away the war and fighting. -

Alot of people don't like Rolo but I feel sorry for him and after watching this anime a few times he grew on me. I still like Lelouch and don't blame him for how he goes about things. This anime is so good.

4:21 LeLouch *could* have geassed Rolo then but he didn't know what order to give. As we see later on, easy orders like "kill yourself" would expose him. So he comes up with an idea to buy some time and figure out a real plan. Which he did. The real question is why Rolo didn't shoot LeLouch before he could finish turning around. Yeah, he wants C.C. He also doesn't want to be geassed! 24:21 People answering their phones in situations like makes me flip.
