There could be another Eras reaction if you like-- if you have access, there are four new acoustic songs added to the Eras movie now that it's on Disney+! The other songs 'added' were already included in the version you watched (The Archer, Wildest Dreams, etc.)! I do think you should move on to Miss Americana and do a fun acoustic set surprise later on. I am excited to see this, and Midnights is my fave era, so I'm stoked! Thanks so much for this!

I love You're On Your Own, Kid so much because 'from sprinkler splashes to fireplace ashes' is one of the most eloquent, lovely descriptions of 'childhood to adulthood' in a lyric. The song shifts from feeling sad 'you always have been' alone to 'you always have been alone and you've done GREAT so keep it up' and god, 'that's a real fucking legacy to leave' (another lyric from a song you haven't heard yet, Luke, it's one of the new acoustic set songs though!!). It's such a hopeful song-- and it's the reason why there are friendship bracelets that Swifties exchange!

For Miss Americana, There really isn't any good spots to cut it into parts, Its also not as near as long as the eras tour, only a little over an hour, I highly recommend watching that in full, Id say that out of all of Taylor's concert films, etc. Miss Americana should be watched in full in one sitting, Id love if you could find the time to be able to watch it in full, but I understand if you're unable to. If you are unable to, then I'd only split it into 2 parts.

Yes for full album reactions. There are so many gems that aren't "singles" but really play such a role in the album as a whole. I'd suggest having the lyrics available as you're listening, too. Yes to Miss Americana next. Also, the Rep & 1989 tour movies. I'll also throw in a request for the Tiny Desk concert (it's four songs). One other suggestion: Give yourself the gift of watching Eras again by yourself (or with your family) from beginning to end. Chopped up into the different eras for reactions is good, but you really don't get the scope of the accomplishment until you see it the whole way through without stopping or pausing.

This was awesome but it's not over! If you have Disney+ then you can watch the 5 additional songs. At the end of the Folklore Era she has one new song called Cardigan. And after all the end credits of the film there is an additional acoustic set. It has the 2 acoustic songs you already say plus 4 new ones. Maybe you could react to the 5 new songs next Friday. This was so fun! And yes I would love to see you react to all her full albums. Its a real journey from her debut album at 16 years old all the way to 34 years old. Luke, I was so validated to see your reaction to Lavender Haze. It's the song that made me a Swiftie. I was once, sadly, "that guy" who wrote off Taylor, believing all the media bullshit and growing weary of hearing Trouble or Blank Space playing umpteen times a day on the shitty speakers in the big box retail store where I used to work during the Red/1989 eras. Fast forward to the end of 2022 and I kept hearing about this new album 'Midnights' and how it was so amazing, so I was like, alright, I'll bite. Lavender Haze is the first track on that album, and I just sat dumbfounded. I listened to the entire album, start to finish, quite a few times, and so it began. Absolutely, positively, 100% full album reaction. It's my first new album release as an actual fan, and I am so enjoying the anticipation! Looking forward to listening to the album on repeat until the reaction videos from you and all the others I've started following thanks to Taylor's music start popping up in my feed.

For your question about how her albums releases go, she used to release singles amd music videos in the lead up to the release date, but since Folklore, there have been no lead singles - once the album is released, she releases a music video at the same time. So hopefully we get at least one video the night the album comes out!

I wholeheartedly support full album reactions and let’s start at the beginning but if there is a Taylor’s version available make sure you listen to that version. As many have said some of Taylor’s best songs are never singles and without doing album reactions you really are missing out on her true genius.

You should definitely react to every album in order then you can react to the corresponding concert films after you react to each album. Debute (1) does not have a concert film but Fearless(2) does. Also Speak Now(3), Red(4), 1989(5), Reputation (6), Lover(7), Folklore(8) has the long pond studio sessions, Evermore(9) and Midnights (10) have the Eras tour film. I'm here for the long haul! Big agree with everyone saying to watch the additional 5 songs from the new version of the Eras Tour movie on Disney+! For Miss Americana, please watch that one in one sitting! There's nowhere to cut it that really makes sense or does any justice. It's not a concert at all it's just a doc so she's talking about a lot of really interest/heavy stuff a lot of the time and I feel like it might be a disservice of sorts to you as a viewer to cut it off anywhere. I am really excited for your reaction to it though!! It's gonna give you SO MUCH insight to Taylor as a person as well as an artist.

I would say to go through with Miss Americana, and then maybe with the album reactions, start with Midnights, and then go back to the beginning? If you do her songs from the beginning, definitely check out Journey to Fearless and the Speak Now Tour!! It’s amazing how many genres she’s done— her debut album and Fearless are country, Speak Now and Red are country-pop, 1989/Rep/Lover are pop perfection, my favourites folklore and evermore are indie-alternative, and Midnights is pop but very 80s synth, and probably her most self-reflective album. I’m super excited to see what The Tortured Poets Department is going to be like— especially because she has both Post Malone and Florence and the Machine as features.

One more thing— I totally think that Mastermind is largely about her fans!! Her songs are typically super layered but I think the line that hints at it is “and I swear/I’m only cryptic and Machiavellian cause I care”— I think she’s talking about all of her Easter eggs, the way she used to leave hidden messages in the lyric booklets of her CD’s, all that. Like how she really engages with us and keeps us on our toes!!

Taylor makes her albums specifically to be listened all the way through as an experience so to be fully immersed in the album I think would be the best way to get as you put it ‘your genuine first reaction’. I think one of the things about that song is that she realizes she was the reason they were so damned wonderful, and rerecording them taught her that. I know you said you want to stick to what your original plan was with only reacting to whatever your subscribers choose, but I’m pretty sure I can speak for all Swifties when I say that you should do whatever makes you happy as far as choosing what to react to. As a Swiftie and music lover in general, I couldn’t imagine not listening to an entire album when it drops. I wouldn’t survive only hearing one song today and another one another day, lol. If I discover a new artist or band I really like/love, I have to go listen to everything they’ve ever released. It’s awesome watching and going through this journey with you and we just want to see you continue to be super happy and enjoying getting to know more and more about Taylor and her music. So, I think you should just take a dive in and do whole album reactions, like you did for TTPD. That way it’s fair to you too because you’ll be getting to hear ALL of her songs from each album at once and not having to wait to hear the rest or bounce around different albums at different times. You can still give us choices like asking which album we want you to react to and then whatever is picked the most you listen to that album. That way you get to enjoy all of the music the way you want to (all at once) and we help choose what you react to. It’s a win-win 😊
