My Background, Part I (Patreon)

Several people have inquired about my background in the past. In particular, about my degrees and occupation.

I studied electrical and electronic engineering in college.

I played keyboards in a band and gained a basic knowledge of synthesizers. At the time, analog modeling synthesizers such as micro KORG and roland GAIA were very popular, so my interest turned to analog synthesizers.

I got a job at an automotive parts company as an electronic circuit designer.

I was in charge of digital circuits that interface microcontrollers with external actuators and sensors. So I am not good at analog circuits. I had never designed circuits using operational amplifiers at that time.

I was in charge of products mainly for ASEAN, China, and India, which required cost reduction.

The reason why many of my modules are designed at lower cost may be because of my experience at that time.

Later, I was assigned to an electronic circuit factory and worked in quality control.

I was fed up with the constant complaints from customers and factory operators, but the job of finding the causes of defects and taking countermeasures was a good experience.

I also gained knowledge of the process of assembling electronic circuits(surface mount , inspection etc) .
