A bit about the world of PARASITE BLACK...  

Parasite Black is a mature, dark fantasy adult game set in Mirnos, a world under the fierce onslaught of a dangerous, bizarre race known as the Demorai. 

Born into the Kingdom of Alderay, you're sent on a suicide mission that should have cost you your life. Instead, you've been blessed with a second chance... 

Or rather cursed. But with your newfound "gift", you may just be able to turn the tides of war and save the realm from the clutches of the Demorai!  Features: Thoroughly developed lore of a large, dark fantasy world open to exploration. 

An ample choice of classic and unique fantasy characters to romance or join you on your adventures. Unique turn-based combat system. Plenty of adult content to spice up your adventures!  

The game includes a metric tone of fetishes for you to find out.

Tried it. It's just a prologue demo that ends just when you think "here we go, now it begins"...but holy shit, it's actually good?! The story is promising, the writing and background art is quite good, the character art is alright, though a bit rough around the edges, and the blood, gore and death scenes are captivating. It's obviously inspired by Attack on Titan and Warhammer, and also....maybe I'm wrong, but...Starship Troopers? At least that's what sprang to mind when I was faced with the character Kiara and the siege at the abandoned fort. It also makes me think of the Patreon games Seeds of Chaos (just so far without the lgbtq) and Sanguine Rose...though that may be just because of the shared VN format and that the art looks kinda similar. The female characters' lip syncing looks kinda bad. The game can do just fine without it. The game design is a bit messy. It's a VN, but there's classic RPG combat (but no stats or levelling, "find and click the different semi-hidden choices" screens (but without any importance), and the mandatory "choose your reply". It felt a bit like the game maker is throwing spaghetti at the wall. I felt like there should be a "character stat page" keeping track of the MC's relationship and personality scores influenced by the player's choices. Though, that's likely just because of my earlier experiences playing similar VN games. There's nothing in the demo that hints of the MC's personality changing because of your choices. At least one scene had an animated background, with people passing by in the distance. I really liked that. It looked good. The main thing I didn't like was that the different artists drawing the character art and the sex scenes obviously aren't quite on the same page when it comes to the character design. The differences are easily notable, like different skin colour, body shapes, breast sizes, etc. It's enough to break my "game flow" because the differences are so obvious that itmakes me want to scroll back and compare the two different designs of the same characters, basically ruining the experience, That said, I will definitely follow this project. There is quite a bit of potential, though it's currently at a VERY early stage. Only time will tell if the game creator is up for the task, and if it's worth supporting the project.
