Okay, so, here’s what’s up:

Everything in this update was meant to work in tandem with the Farm - all dialogues change Kira’s name to Fuckmeat and the new Church event bypasses the 20 Lust requirement that farm content has (with a completely different text). 

So, apart from the Church event, that took a substantial amount of time to produce, we were mainly working on the Farm - which led to everything else being “half cooked”. 

I got distracted by the amount of content - there’s three storylines that happen at the same time, and I didn’t finish them “entirely”. I just did whatever I felt like doing, instead of focusing on one thing. 

Don’t get me wrong, all Vivarium storylines are already written, but they all miss some elements. To be fair, I’m still working on all of them in general, so they can’t be considered “complete”, because I never write anything in “one shot”, there are multiple drafts, re-writes and scraped ideas. 

This was also the case for what 0.4.8 (Part 1) has right now - we didn’t have “minor” things, like lines of text Kira should say while interacting with “plants” and “trees”, we didn’t have pictures for the “test”, we didn’t plan to add “Oasis” part in this update, but we’ve added its intro just because the Farm was cut.  

This separation also meant that a lot of content needed to be cut, which also took some of our time, plus Moana wasn’t able to work on the weekends. 

That is why it took as long as it took - we deviated from my original plan due to the farm taking too long to produce.  

Despite everything, it will be “smooth sailing” from now on, since we’ve added everything we needed in 0.4.8 (Part 1), and now we can just add H-events without any complications. 

It takes so much time to produce - because apparently it takes so much time to produce.
