Escorting The Royals (Patreon)

Took today's warm up time and put down more roughs for Royal Escort, pages 4 and 5 this time. I also went into "archives" (the really dusty folders in the back of my art stuff) and dug out the old pages for that compare&contrast I promissed and good god is that an awful throwback XD Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see my advancement as an artist, but some of those proportions and compositions from back in the day make the back of my hand itch in the worst way.

As I hope you can tell, the page structure is much more reader friendly and easier to navigate. Dialogue areas are positioned in a more linear path, allowing for easier reading while leaving the art room to breathe around it, plus I'm averaging down expressions and poses a bit - what I mean by that is that I used to have a tendency to draw an expression for almost every line of dialogue, which kills production time and clutters pages to a horrifying degree. I suppose a decade down the road I have actually learned a thing or two about sequential art =w=

A reminder for my clothers and roofers that there's a sketch suggestions thing up until tomorrow 18:00 CET that I'll pick ideas from to doodle.
