Large Scale Images of 2021 - Batch 3 (Patreon)
Content
Only lined commissions this time around.
First a filthy Xenos :b~ I'd never drawn a Kroot before, at least not to my memory anyway. Not my favorite 40k species, though I can definitely get behind anyone who's willing to bring the fight to the Tau for their sanctimonious bullshit, so kudos to you there, albino kroot guy - I forget the actual name of the character, but their idea for the character's backstory was that they're a kroot freedom fighter trying to liberate his people from the Greater Good.
Next up, beach vacations! Tankana baking herself in the sun alongside her bodyguard/lover Nai'sha. There's some very strange weather phenomenons going on on whatever planet they're vacationing on - the sonic rainboom was specifically requested, as was the unsubtly marked beach ball and the Anubis statue X3 the background characters are a random selection of previously drawn people and one random tiger, who unintentionally ended up looking somewhat like Strype's old 'sona - very little else to say about this one. Looking back, I might have wanted to make the image a little more crowded, both for reasons of composition and just general visual interest. Next time then ~
Third image is, once again, Sandow's Amber doing her thing. I just went back to check whether she'll show up in the next set of uploads too, because she's had a visit with us for just about every set of uploads for almost two months now, I think XD Definitely fun to draw and I'm happy with what it turned out to be for having only two hours available.
And lastly, Tankana having a ride on Antar. The two of them have seen rather a lot of eachother over the last couple' years. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. It's nice to see Antar getting some attention by the crowd, seeing as I haven't drawn a whole lot of him since swapping him out for something a little more conventional - The collection of artifacts in the background was a fun little thing Tank' had asked me to include, though it did highlight how very little I've been delving in sci-fi stuff in recent years, as those were literally the best gadgets I could think of and I know there's just so many more out there =_=
I know someone pointed out on the public post that "glowing sheets" was a cheap and easy fix to make a bed sci-fi. Since I wasn't very talkative at the time, for various reasons, I never got around to correcting that there's no sheets present at all - the entire bed consists of nanobots that can fulfill a mutltitude of roles, depending on what you set them to do. They're mattress, blanket and pillow, all in one and can do body cleaning too, provided they're familiar with the person bedding in them. It's inadvisable to use this setting without proper callibration though, seeing as nanites only have a very limited capacity to act autonomously, and therefore have been known to remove things that were meant to remain attached in some cases <_< you can expect more stuff like this and more details, if I ever get around to telling stories in my sci-fi universe ~

So much for the commissions, now for the other stuff :3
The first greyscale is back from 2020 actually (and this'll happen regularly still), depicting my 'sona and Volpin's doing some duo G.T.F.O.-ing. Aside from a relatively low production time, I'm very happy with how dynamic it feels and how well the motion blur works, without seeming glaring.
Next is another highly dynamic one, featuring everyone's favorite grumpy fen. I'd never specifically thought of a background scenario, but then that's not necessarily important either. It turned out a good piece in my opinion :3
Now here's one that I didn't upload publicly, because a) I wasn't too happy with it, and b) it pertains to background stuff in the sci-fi universe I didn't want to thematized on a broad scale yet. Shown are two bounty hunters, a Si'itian outcast character who's very much at odds with what she perceives as a highly repressive society (which, to be fair, Si'itians are), and her Rhaganin companion. The Rhaganin are an uplift species from back in the day when Si'itians were still in the habbit of doing such things. I can expand on that bit of lore some other time too :3
I forget what the exact inspiration for Enya was, but the name was derived from Enyo, a greek goddess of war. In case it wasn't obvious, that's also where the armor style is derived from. Red hue version for variation.
Burn was something I'd done just to blow off steam at a time where I was pissed at everything and everyone, everywhere. Granted, my general disdain for the human race hasn't improved a whole lot since then, but that's also very unlikely to happen anyway, so no need to hold out hope towards that. I suppose what bugs me is that the things that piss me off have taken a firm hold in the fur fandom these days and I'm powerless to do anything about it.
And lastly, Ma. I realize a pack of dogs would probably have been more appropriate, but they don't look half as good in dapper outfits, and the black cats look tough enough. Also, lithe cat Ma Baker feels like an appropriate depiction. You're welcome to disagree with me on that :b
