What does it mean to be a woman in a man's world (Patreon)

I've been thinking a lot about this latley, what it means to be a woman in a man's world...

Women are told to be feminine, to be kind-hearted, and soft skinned. Because men love women who are soft, caring, loving, and kind.

It's always about what we should be, not who we WANT to be.

We could go into gender equality rights, sexism, and institutional misogyny, but I want to talk about how women can THRIVE in this world that is run by men.

I've been doing a lot of research on the feminine recently and how that word had changed over time. Coming from a definition written by men, women are now reclaiming this word and redefining what it means to be feminine.

Instead of feminine meaning being loving, caring, and kind, which is described as what men want, women are instead deciding what THEY want to be.

CONFIDENT

DARING

LIBERATED

INDEPENDENT

And for me, what it means to be feminine... returning home to myself. To no longer crave validation or attention. To know my worth and not have my self-esteem differ on the opinions of others. To be able to stand up for myself when it matters most and most importantly, to live the life my future self will be proud of.
