lol the comments arguing. I'm a delena shipper so yes I'm biased, but I don't think it's a matter of which action was more justifiable. It's more so the fact that when Damon killed Jeremy, he came back to life (yes ik he didn't know about the ring but he still came back), and everyone expected that behavior from Damon. When Stefan tried to run Elena off the bridge he was actually going to do it, knowing the significance of the bridge and the trauma she has surrounding it. Sure Stef was off his rocker a bit, but he still had most of his humanity on, and no one expected that behavior from him, especially not Elena who loved him and probably intended on getting back together with him. I don't think you can excuse either Stef or Damon, but if it's about who caused more trauma in the moment, I'd argue it was Stefan. I believe Elena lost some of the love she had for him after that, and started to allow herself to feel more for Damon.

first of all, you say he came back to life not once, but twice, and you say it the second time in parentheses without any reason added. you just repeated that he simply came back again. the intent is very imperative as damon did not know jeremy had the ring. that means damon had no care about jeremys life and he didn’t care after the fact either. and that was no expected “behavior” from damon. you can’t just mitigate damons actions by saying it’s expected behavior. if this was expected, elena or damon sure as hell wouldn’t have allowed jeremy anywhere near him. not only that, but elenas reaction was very much surprised. now with stefan, he wasn’t actually going to do it. stefan having spent time with klaus for months now and with his memories back, stefan had a deeper understanding of klaus, and we all know elena was very very important to klaus as well, considering all things. stefan did what he did to elena to make it believable to klaus that he would do it. even after it happened, stefan told her that it was going to work. and you keep throwing this “expectancy of behavior” thing around as if that somehow takes the cake on which ones worse which makes no sense. it’s evident as to which one is worse and would cause more trauma. having your young sibling die, or driving over the speed limit on a bridge…. that’s what you’re trying to compare, and then implying the latter is worse?

Also, Klaus had said “Genuine beauty” stressing the word genuine, as he touched the bracelet she got from Tyler. And when she woke up she found that bracelet Klaus left her. I’d be willing to bet it was really expensive and it was definitely more beautiful than what Tyler gave her. Admittedly, the one from Tyler was more sentimental with the charms. But I think Klaus was trying to make the point that she could have better. He didn’t really make it too well since something more expensive doesn’t always translate to better. But he tried lol.
