"Bring a compass. It's awkward when you have to eat your friends."

Greetings Voidcruisers o/

Foremost, apologies galore for this month's out of place progress reporting. As mentioned in the tweet, we simply got overwhelmed due to May's end of the month workload and the ball just slipped away from our hands. Rest assured, we'll revert to weekend reports from July, so for now, without further adieu, lets jump into it.

Starting off this month, with an acute focus on internal mappings, a ton of them got finalized for implementation. Believe it or not, unlike exterior map design that has a largely similarized theme across the board, internal design style shifts wildly depending on its intended purpose which ends up taxing both the artist's creativity and the stamina. Don't worry though, we sent Doppel a package of medical grade energy drinks to last him through the month! Let no one think, we don't care!

Straight from the writer's desk: In an endeavor to keep upcoming patch releases as close to each other, key decisions were taken to generate story content and filler features, in order to avoid dead end gaps mid play-through and minimize drip feed frustrations. As stated already, we're not a fan of staggered content but, at least for now, "stay calm and adapt" is going to be our maxim.

Finally, our programmer spent the better half of the week tinkering with Live2D. Given how overwhelmingly positive the response was incorporating that technology into VoidBound, there is no way we could ignore what players truly desire and not work sincerely into building a stable system around it. Rest assured, we've not completely stopped focus on other code related aspects as combat balancing still remains a heavily evaluated challenge with plugins going through some variety of updates, every other day.

And that wraps up everything achieved from the start of this month to this very day. We're working tirelessly towards putting together content in an expedited but quality oriented manner and hope that we'll have something concrete in your hands soon. On that note, we bid you farewell and will see you in the next one.

Kind Regards,

Cursed-Atelier Team
