A random oddity, this. My mail "quota" was almost full, according to comcast.net. So I was scrolling back to the early-to-mid twenty-teens to toss out old e-mails. One of the e-mails I found was from a "Rob" who'd included a scan of the first page of an illustrated letter I'd sent him from Iceland back in 1984.

   Wow. It seems that back then, I was 19, beardless, and had the time to write and draw my personal letters as if they were very wordy comix. A different world, for sure.

   Not quite sure why I'm posting this here. To show my good fans I'm not dead, just on vacation, something like that? And a glimpse of pre-internet Kjartan the Letterhack, for those who find such nostalgia interesting.

A former high school/college girlfriend sent me scans of some letters I sent her <i>(um, 45+?)</i> years ago. One was written on the back of a pistol target, another around the edge of some advertisement from our favorite bookstore. Goofy kid stuff from the 1970s...
