A Guardian Construct would be built with it's own reservoir of raw power to ensure that it never tired, always had the strength for whatever task arose, and, in many cases, be able to cast a limited number of "useful" spells to fulfill the purposes placed upon it. In other words, whether by physical or magical force, it will insure the protection of its charge until the very last of its being. That's what makes a good Guardian Construct

Hold up, she knows Jack has a life-sign, she even commented on it being weird that the person inside Jack doesn't move when Jack does. Then again she's dealing with a lot of little mysteries in this place, so it's understandable that she would be a little confused at seeing a Jack-sized form.
