A very tough situation (Patreon)

Dear Patreons! I will reply the notes and post artworks asap! Currently I’m stuck in Istanbul all alone with no money because my credit cards don’t work here and the rouble cash cannot be exchanged. I was fleeing with my cat to Batumi, but due to the war the Moscow-Istanbul flight took 6 hours instead of 4 and I was late to my second flight from Istanbul to Batumi. And these idiots don’t give me my money back or offer another plane! Grr!

I don’t know what to do now…

Get to your embassy, they can help with currency exchange and often in cases of civil unrest will even help you get where you need to go.

Were the Moscow-Istanbul tickets and Istanbul-Batumi ones from the same company? If yes, then it is up to them to ensure that they fulfill their contractual obligations. If the tickets were not from the same company, then, unfortunately, the Istanbul-Batumi ticket is no longer valid, but they can give you another one - it depends on their rules. From which airline was the Istanbul-Batumi ticket?

I was worried about you, after reading about worsening situation in Russia, because of Ukraine invasion, sanctions, now russia blocking social media sites, ... First thing that comes to my mind, is trying to ask on russian embassy.. ye but then again I don't know, because of current situation. Damn reading this makes me anxious. Think embassy would the first thing I could think of. After that I don't know, ask local authorities for help? Try money transfer service tomorrow, when they open, like Ashragon said?

We're not dealing with an office in the States or Russia. I doubt Turkey's consumer-protection laws are nearly as helpful.
