Now no need to extract frames using after effects, It can entirely be done inside comfyUI. Steps are Cut Downed for the passes generation.

This workflow is part of to this main Animation workflow : https://youtu.be/HbfDjAMFi6w

As before in Version 1 of this script you had to manually resize, Extract the Frames using after effects and organize them inside a folder.

Now, You just need to copy the path of your video and it will handle the rest including making folders.

Installation :

You need to have these custom nodes installed before using this workflow update :

You Can install them manually "git clone" in the custom_node directory in comfyui or simply using the install missing nodes from comfy manager.

How To Use:

1) Input Video Path :

Right Click on the Video File and Click "Copy as Path"

and paste it in the Input video node. Make sure you have Quoted "Path".

2) Copy the Address of the folder you want to extract the passes to into the Output Path

This path will be utilized for organizing the 6 passes folder.

3) Select the passes which you want to extract. Put value 1 for enabling them.

4) [Optional] Upscale or Downscale or 5) Set custom resolution of the exported pass, Enable it by entering value 1. For example you have a 4k video, it is optimal to use under 1k for rendering your control net passes for efficient performance, downscale it using 4) or Custom resize using 5).

6) [Optional] Save Source Frames. It it enabled by default and will save the original frames of the video. For helping in setting values in batch range, skip frames and while sequencing. Disable with value 0 if you don't want to save them.

CONS

  • To avoid "No input error" while running it saves a black image in the passes folder which are not being enabled.
  • If you want to re-use the same video for another pass, export it in a different folder or else you can have 2x images in the passes accidently. Also It will generated a black image again in the passes folder which are not enabled.
