I was thinking about so many things that I wanted to say about this tileset while I was making it, but now I'm so tired all I can think of is… yaaaaaay! its finished! I did end up cutting a few ideas here and there due to time but I'm sure I'll come back to them at some point! :)

I also think it's pretty crazy that I just started to do this without any real plan, other than it sounded awesome in my head and a bunch of people wanted forest encounter maps. Making a tileset seemed to be the best way to give people what they wanted all at once! :)

When I was thinking about making this I knew I needed to include a bunch of different colours for the tiles, the more vibrant the better. I've always found it a little odd that forest maps for RPG’s are almost always based on a normal forest paths you might find in north america of europe. The thing is though, we play a fantasy game with all kinds of strange and wonderful locations and it makes sense to me that an adventuring party might just well find themselves traveling through a blood red forest just as easily as an enchanted blue one! :)

This tilest marks nearly 100 hours of work over the last week and a half or so, some days I was working 12 hours a day to get all these colours and variants done so I will be taking a break tomorrow and after that focusing on some patreon maps!

Thanks for reading everyone and thanks for supporting me here on Pateron if you do! You guys make this stuff possible :)

These are beautifully done, and offer a great blend of flexibility between "pre-made" and "some-assembly-required." Especially when you start mixing other tilesets into the biomes. Great stuff!
