Congrats on the new cooling system.

Clogged vents are a killer because the airflow is reduced, but do not know if that was your problem. Overheating while rendering makes sense. Chips that are dual or quad core will get hotter if they are under load, because sections of the chip that are more dormant under general use will begin processing on the extra cores. Just as with humans: work harder, get hotter.

I cleaned the dust n crap out so wouldn't think that would be an issue. But it's a mystery. Yeah that's true, just strange I didn't have a problem with my old one, and this is technically supposed to be better. Silly fing
