Falling in Love with Disco Elysium - Part 2 (Patreon)

This might be the most heartwarming video i post this year. It's literally just a video of me being happy for once and falling in love in real time. Not with a person, with a video game, which if you've ever paid attention to me at all you know is a miracle because i famously despise video games. 

How do i describe the depth of my feelings toward this wonderful game. To put it in words only people here will understand, Disco Elysium is like the anti-Visage. You know how that game is like everything that could ever possibly be wrong and bad about a game, and even invents new ways to be a piece of shit that no sane mind could have ever conceived? Well Disco Elysium is the opposite of that. 

If you told me a game this good could exist at all, let alone be made in the modern era, i'd have called you a liar. But by God, they really did it, someone out there in the great vast universe heard my prayers and thus was born the fabled good game. Finally, a game to rival The Lion King, Final Fantasy 7, and Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. 

There isn't a whole lot of gameplay in this episode. It's honestly more like a podcast or an unscripted review because it's literally just me looking at menu screens and explaining how much ass the game kicks. Spoiler: It kicks a lot of fucking ass. 

Never before has the word Elysium been so aptly used in a piece of art or literature. This holy ambrosia, this gift from on high, this deliverer and savior in vidya form has blessed me and blessed all who welcome it into their hearts. This game shot a Cupid arrow directly into my butt, made me dinner, and taught my cat to shit in the box. It's wonders never cease. 

I could go on and on coming up with increasingly silly ways to tell you this game rules, but you get the point and i got more posts to write so i'll save some praise for the next however many episodes this series ends up being, hopefully a thousand because reminiscing about my time with Disco Muthafuggin Elysium and composing love letters to it is the most joy this gig affords me.
