Full Gear Review (Part 1) (Patreon)

Lately i've had a lot to talk about wrestling-wise, more than i can responsibly keep up with in fact. Case in point being this Full Gear 2021 review that you're only hearing now. After this,  i have one for revolution also recorded, and you can imagine my horror at Wrestle-mania being just around the corner. 

This babbling, maniacal wrestle-rant was recorded months ago when Full Gear actually happened, close to the holidays. I drove up to my mom's for thanksgiving and by the time i got back two weeks later the window for relevance had closed, so i trashed it and worked on other stuff. 

That was until a month ago when i mentioned having recorded it, and some of you commented that you'd actually still like to hear it, and so you shall. But i found a small problem with the recording... turns out some of this half-remembered rambling was actually funny and cogent, the revelation of which activated the sick compulsion in my brain that takes pride in my craft, so i decided to spend some time putting in visuals. 

I've whittled this down from roughly 11,000 hours of incoherent verbal spew into a more listenable two parter, each about an hour long. I'm still editing the visuals for part 2, which hopefully won't be as much of a time sink on my part as part 1. 

What really turned this from a simple podcast into something i felt needed a visual element was the section on Jungle Boy, a rant i've been itching to do for a while. I put a lot of care into that section because it's funny and righteously indignant enough to be its own video. But from that point on i couldn't go back to the rest of the podcast being audio only so i had to spend the rest of the month putting visuals to the rest as well. 

i've slowly discovered my own cool little format with these wrestling reviews and i look forward to refining it so i can get these kind of things out on time to actually be relevant. Really, the obscene hours put into this are all Jungle Boy's fault for slighting me, and thereby provoking a tirade that demanded effort.
