Hey Guys. as you knwo im a huge fan of the evangelion and asuka is my fuckign spirit animle 4 life. 

Listen, lately ive been posting thise pestreons in like collections of a bunch of videos and i think thats goofd thats the way to go. 

bcause i know its kind of fucked with me having so many different channels and so much random content you never know what im mking hell i never know what im making so it wouldnt be fair to just post everything on hre because it might not be the specific thing thatyou pledgd for am i making sense you know waht im saying. 

so thats why lately ive been posting my vdideos here in batches of like 5 videos or somet shit becaus i just want it to feel like its being fair to you.

so i made this really cool asuka amv and im actually really proud of it i love asuka shes my fucking spirit animal but i dont know how you feel about amvs so my plan was to hold off an d ptron this once i had more videos to go with it but you kow shit hapepns and i am really really drunk right now. 

i filmed a bunch of beer quests tonight but i havent rendered or posted them yet i will soon and also this very amv led to the creation of another video which i think in conjunction i the beer quest videos ive filmed tonight is going to end up being somethign pretty special. 

one of the things ive come to value most in my experiences as an artist is spontanaity. sponetednyaity

 

i dont know if im speliing that right shit goddamn it fuck . 

i take pride in the spontinaity oand unpredicatabliilty of me and my work dacross my mantyc ahnnel.s

and in a lot of ways thats often where the ebst art comes from. the abilit t to suddenly have  fsh of inspiratinn or an idea and just make a video instantly and push all the other prijects to the side for tsome crazy spnoaneous idea is something that leads to the most real expression and often really grsat stuff and i really value that a lot in my work and in everyones work. 

so unebelivably this silly idea took on a life of its own. i had a flash of inspiration and wanted to make a fcoool asuka video to this song clean machine by the prresidtne cause i thought it would fit good and be trwally fun and cool. and it totally work an  that was totally spontanous . and then now im at this moment where i realize that that decision to make that video has branched off into soemthing really amazing and cool that im super proud of beyonf that single video.

its like e asuka amv has accidenlyt forme the basis of thwat im curently filming nad that is something reallys pecialhjdg teand cool . its like ive accidently create a new mini arc i just cant help myself im a godddamm n creative gnius.

so all the beer quest videos tat im filming right now (im taking a brek to write this blog bp=post) as well as the endless jess video im filming is is al lc oming together as sort of a trilogy of videos .       starting with the asuka amv. and its really cool and also gotta talk about beer quest cause goddamn

i filmed some hot fire with beer quest tonight some of the best episodes ever nd you know it was concieved as sortt of an aimless retardd project but its really coming into its own with these ones ive filmed tonight anf i think it too will end up being somethign pretty grand in its own retarded way. 

im honestly impressed with myself and that doesnt hapen often so when it happens i know im on to soemthing holy shit this blog post is ass im reaally fucking hammered. fuck. 

anyways im sorry this post doesnt have multiple videos like most of them ahve been lately. i do have a bunh of things im filming and working on as always but look fo tthem in the next post. but i am legitimalty very proud of this particular amv. i made it on a whim and its one of my favorite videos of mine ever. it turnedi out really good i think,. 

i just love asuka so much you people have no idea. i love eva. the depths of my love is like the fucking mariana trench goddamnit . fucking fuck. 

i tried to make this amv as fun and funn as possible. one of the mbig problems with amvs in general is how seriously they take themselves, and plus its always the mopiest whiniest, teeen angsty music, fucking linkin park and evanescance and shit and i attribute that to those being bands that were popular amoong young people when youtube was first taking off. 

not dumping on linkin park and evenacscance fucking waking me up came on the radio on my way to taco bell the other day and it as the most fun ive ever had in my life. i didnt even like that song when it was popular but now time has increased my appreciation of it in a sort of ironic but kind of sincere nostalgic kind of way you know what i mean WAKE ME UP (WAKE ME UP INSIDE) CANT WKAEU P EGFSGJKH

but i just think that so many amvs (because they are mostly made by young people i think) are so angsty and mopey and i wanted to make a fun one. of course asuka is still a somewhat tragic character so of course i didnt shy away from elements of that tragedy in my amv. but i for one dont think that tragedy and comedy should be seperated, i view them as needing each other as ive pointed out in my many award winning universally beloved videos most notably my horseshoe review of that scootaloo episode where they finally aknowledged her fucked up baby wings. 

so i wanted to make this amv fun and light hearted and it almost comes off as a sort of romantic comedy version of eva. i used the song clean machine by one of my favorite bands the presidents. its a very lighthearted, bouncy, poppy puppy love romantic kind of song that nevertheless somehow managaes to fucking kick ass and rock balls in the second hald. and also its short. amvs should not overstay their welcom. im very proud of the way the bouncy otpimistic lyrics and tone of the song contrast with asuka's mental trauma and brutal death at the hands of those fucking gross mass prodcution eva fuccbois. 

theres a lot more nuance put into this video than might seem on the surface. i hope you appreciate the cool ass way i made quick cuts and flash montages of asuka mental breakdown and bloody screaming death to mtch up with the drumbeats later on in the climax of the song as the drummer starts going apeshit which i fucking love. 

the video goes in sort of semi loose chroniclogical order with flashbacks flashing over the end part where shes on the beach. one interesting idea that i had and tried to incorporate was the quick cuts to that famous scene of asuka reaching up in rage with one eye seconds before her death over the end scene with her reaching up to complete her character arc and brush shinjis face in a more peacful way at the end. i wanted to contrast the angry vengeful warrior reaching upwards to continue fighting with the girl we see on the beach who is more tired peaceful and given a new lease on life. 

i think its really interesting how its essentially the same physical action but contrasted in motivation and in the context of whats happened. i wonder if it was intentional, and its worth showing in the form of a cool ass music video. 

thats my deep intellectual analysis of my own silly amv. i jsut wanted to be real with y'all patrons who i appreciate so much, and write a lengnhty ass cool ass blog post and explain some behind the scenes motivations of my work. i hope you enjoy this cool ass amv. as i said im pretty proud of it and more cool stuff, as always is on the way. 

also cerealized. yes. it is still a thing and i havnt stopped it. i guess you can kind of consider the lion guarde one a mid season finale. ive been working on the return episode of cerealized on and off for weeks. i know its sort of my money maker in terms of making peopel want to pledge so i dont want anyone to think im slacking on it. its just that i get these flashes of inspiration and have to put the epsiode im working on off to the side in order to make these new ideas for videos come to fruition which is really oimprotant to me as an artist. i value spontaneity which i guess is the point im trying to get across with this post because as i just pointed out in my amazing analysis of my own amazing amv. spontaneity can lead to really great stuff and take you down cool highways you didnt even know about before. 

videos like horseshoe reviews, horseshoe finale, and the ongoing manchild inc. saga are of course well thought out and made with a plan in mind for some big story arc and larger point to it all. but its also good and important and cool and awesome to make random cool shit on a whim. 

im gonna be busy all week so it might still be a couple weeks before cerealized returns. but i am really proud of the script ive written and what ive edited so far and i think its going to be worht the wait. in the maeanintime i hp[e you enjoy how cool i am.
