which have been kept still and at 30°C +/-0.1 for months PLUS measurement results from my best voltmeters. Applications in the comments please, most hearts next Sunday win!

I want to make some room in this 'oven' for more modern voltage references and maybe other stuff. The weston cells will have to settle down at ideally 30°C after turbulent shipping, but they don't take lasting damage from overturning etc.

Here's a tour of that mystery metrology oven if you haven't seen it already: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXc1EvcVOTo

It seems like mad scientist inspired stuff.

Looks like these things might go well with tesla coils, but in reality they very much do not :)

I wish that I even had something that would be worth calibrating... Not that I'd have a use for that...

looks like too much trouble for a hobbiest! And what would I calibrate? Would look awesomely nerdy in the shop!

Maybe it'd be fun to create an smaller enclosure that keeps one at at exactly 30°C (bonus points if better than +/- 0.1°C, bonus points if it also keeps out vibrations)

It is not my intention to get people into the metrology addiction, but it certainly is one of the coolest addictions to have :)

I have a sad and lonely Eppley cell that needs some company - and someone to calibrate with! <a href="https://bit.ly/2QzJn1k" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://bit.ly/2QzJn1k</a>

Well I guess a good home would be the north west coast of Alaska, 30 miles above the Arctic Circle would make a wonderful home! ;)

so that's how they look on the inside! I have one in a bakelite housing in my office...

This would be an interesting addition to my vacuum tube collection, or a display piece.

I love the look, the technology and probably the smell of this kit. And I do have an uncalibrated 34401A for which this would come in handy. But I am afraid it is too large for me to keep. If I win it, I will use it and then give it away to the next in line.

so now even the giveaway (did I say thank you!) found its new home in Sweden. Not temperature regulated (yet?) but protected from the elements... <a href="https://imgur.com/1mBLbcw" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://imgur.com/1mBLbcw</a> <a href="https://imgur.com/x3Gt3Ir" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://imgur.com/x3Gt3Ir</a>
