I am a beginner and need a DMM that doesnt have fixed probes. :D _something something poor student something something_ :D

But where is the fun in not having to climb up the ladder with a scope and a 50m extension cord? :)

Currently I am trying to wrap my head around blocking oscillators. I tried SPICE simulation, but didn't get a useable result. This scope meter could help to shine some light on this complex topic :D If anyone has some tipps that also would be great ;)

I have to admit that I'm pretty happy with my UNI-T UT61E DMM. It's probably the best I could get in that price range. Even Dave would be contented with the refresh rate of the bar graph :D

Have you tried analysing and calibrating oscillators and various other synthesizer-modules with a 10€ Conrad Multimeter? Well I have. Now all my music is tuned in a pre-Bach "Wohltemperiertes Klavier" fashion. Not to say: not at all.

I'm completely neutral here, but check out what this guy is posting on Discord ❤️

I use my Commodore 64 for this purpose.

Would a small 'scope DMM count as getting my electronerd mancard fully punched or would there be a hanging chad since it isn't the full deal?

marcoreps

I can't believe that 'chad' is such an important thing that it had the privilege of being assigned such a short and memorable word! A chad should be a popular street food snack or a gardening tool :)

If that is true, you have to make a YouTube video about it. If not, you have to make it reality and start over with point 1 :)
