Like basically every other 2001 it suffers from leaking electrolytic capacitors. Good thing it stopped working at some point, otherwise the leaking might have gone unnoticed for a longer time, causing more damage to the PCB. In this video I'll clean up the spilled electrolyte, investigate why it stopped working and replace a lot of components before powering it up and comparing it to my other DMM s.
