This five-episode Geonosis arc is where I say that this show really started to come into its own. They hit so many different styles, from the political thriller at the start to action to horror. How appropriate that you saw the Zombie and Mind Control episodes just before Halloween. One reason that I love this show so much, and describe it as "What the Prequels should have been", is because it shows Anakin's descent into the Dark Side. The sprinkles of "The Imperial March" in the soundtrack, him stepping over the line bit by bit -- always with a justification for why THIS time it's necessary -- you can see him transform over time into somebody who sees the quickest way as the best way. And somebody who sees rules or morality as just getting in the way. The steps are small, each one with just enough heart that you might say "I'd do the same thing in his situation," but with them coming one after the other they point towards the ultimate final darkness. In the Prequels all they show is that he's a moody teenager in Episode II, then he snaps and commits a local genocide in the middle of the film, and we're supposed to be "surprised" when he commits a larger genocide in Episode III. This series at least connects the dots.

true!! the zombie episodes are definitely halloween appropriate!!! YESSS the "Imperial March" moments got my hype! lol you are absolutely right about him stepping over the line bit by bit.... and no one sees..and hes not getting caught,... and he's getting the result he wants...
