What a great way to conclude Yorknew City arc in a typical HxH fashion with insane amount of crazy twists and very unexpectedly emotional scenes coming from Phantom Troupe members. 10/10.

Phantom Troupe must be one of the best written groups of antagonist ever. It's been some years since i watched the Yorknew City arc in its entirety, so i had an absolute blast rewatching it. I don't even know how Togashi manages to write a story so unpredictable but yet so coherent, while also giving so many diverse character the time to stand out in their own unique ways. Like three episodes ago we knew almost nothing about Pakunoda, now we feel like crying for her. And she is only one of so many examples. That's what i call peak fiction.

This arc is so amazing. It started with us hating the Troupe and ended with us feeling emotional for Paku when she died. Superb writing. And now we start with my favourite arc! You are going to love it!

I just love that when in the beginning Kurapika tells about his backstory with the phantom troupe you think that they are just some ruthless criminals, but after this arc you realize how complex they are and you even start to care for them like with Pakunoda.

Exactly! I thought they were just going to be bunch of heartless lunatics, but it's much more complicated, it seems like they grew up in a whole different world in that Meteor City, I would really like to learn more about them.
