Rather than rushing Chapter 5: Opportunity Struck to completion, I'm going to be focusing on cleaning up, reorganizing, and rewriting the side-story bonus chapters this month.

1. Story Changes:

Gamer Girls became an unreadable dumpster fire--I'm considering it a failed test-case in how many characters can comfortably fit into a bonus chapter. Breaking up and rewriting it.

Lucas, Emily, Geneva, Liz, Fletcher and Foxy will feature in the Gamer Girls story, while Melanie, Jordyn, Mary, and Foxy (again) will be rewritten into another, different story plot; Eating Out. Gamer Girls is being moved chronologically to take place before Cosplay Contest, while Eating Out will take place directly after Cosplay Contest.

Foxy's role in Order of the Sovereign Swords is being rewritten. He will either start off the chapter as buddies with Idren and Sulric, trying to use them to influence the Order on his behalf, OR I might go the extreme route and have Foxy directly assume Idren's antagonistic role, combining the characters so that it's Foxy who shows down with Mara. Let me know your thoughts.

2. Story Organization:

Fetish 101 and Mary: the Mastery are going to be combined into a single bonus chapter, Anthology-format style--they've always really been two parts of the same story, anyways, bonus chapter A. Order of the Sovereign Swords and Gamer Girls will become bonus B, and Cosplay Contest and Eating Out will become bonus C. It works out pretty well so that each combined bonus chapter keeps to its own small, tight-knit roster of characters. I just need to think up good names for them.

3. Future:

Eighteen and Up, Staff's Choice, and Afterparty storylines. These will take place alongside Together at Last and possibly Ch 8, as well. Not sure how they might fit together or combine quite yet. Will include a lot of lewd and sex, though.

For future bonus chapter consideration; perhaps a chapter that shows what Kelly gets herself up to in the time between meeting her sister to exchange the Calamity Queen before the cosplay contest and meeting up with Brian and Stephanie after the contest.

Otherwise, we also have a fair amount of Day 1 (Friday) empty space where we don't know what Stephanie and Brian got up to at the convention. Quite a few hours between Brian and Steph going separate ways after walking together, and Steph plodding back to her hotel room to reunite with Megan. Is there any interest in a bonus chapter back there at that point in the story?

4. Patreon pledge tiers:

Likely going to raise the price of putting a new character into the bonus stories from $20 to $50. This will not affect any characters already written into the story. Likely going to rethink all of the tiers completely at some point soon. Any suggestions in that regard are welcome.

1. Should Foxy directly replace/assume Idren's role?

2. Names for Anthology-style bonus chapters?

3. Interest or ideas for side-stories taking place during the events of Ch 1 - 3?

4. Suggestions for Patreon pledge tiers?

While I agree that a more focused “Gamer Girls” is would have been better, I somehow feel like you should resist polishing bonus content. That somehow feels like a distraction. Now I know you can’t resist, so I’m sure that it is an irrelevant opinion. But I thought I’d share that. Cameos from characters generated by supporters is kind of interesting but I’m sure the $50 support level will be popular with the right people. Other authors usually deliver them one at a time as a length limited commission piece delivered one or two per month (based on a lottery drawing). I have trouble picturing you writing that way so I’m not sure that that is a good match for you. Your side stories always seem to end up more elaborate than I’d expect. At least observe that a chance at a drawing for a commissioned character is probably enough value.

Sorting out Gamer Girls now, I'll be unlinking them as I edit. I had six parts of that written. On a provisional basis, pt 1 is going to remain mostly unchanged, might just add in more visual detail later. Pt 2 is going to become Eating Out pt 1, and go entirely unchanged, except for Jordyn's next to last line of dialogue switching to “Well, I was gonna head over to the pizza place down the block and grab a bite.” Pt 3, 4, 5, and 6 all have portions that can be salvaged with a bit of rewriting, so it's not a total loss. I want to have Fletcher first appearance in Gamer Girls and give him a much stronger introduction so that he's established in a better way prior to Cosplay Contest.

I think KingofClubs8219 had mentioned commission pieces to me at some point or another, I'll think about those as a tier incentive. I can do decent short writing from a prompt, but I'd definitely need a defined limit to keep me from overthinking (and overwriting) things and ending up losing out on a ton of time.
