I played this game a long time ago in co-op with my then best friend. Not sure if it even was the full version.

Played a ton of Jazz2 in my childhood. This is possibly one of my favourite platformers ever in general.

For a few minutes at the beginning, I seriously thought this had been released this year thanks to your comment about the creators making Boss Key in 2014. So for a little while I was thinking "Wow, they started off aping Sonic, but ended up surpassing him?!". Still, this looks like a fun sequel to a fun game. And who knows? Maybe now that they've formed their own company this year, they'll get the rights to finally make the third edition fans crave...?

The Australian release by Manaccom had yet another box design. I had it as a youngster, but it's lost to the ages... :(

Whoa, I didn't know the guy who made Dust: An Elysian Tail was involved with Jazz Jackrabbit. That's a pretty cool tidbit.

I always loved this game. I always had the demo growing up, then a few years back I found the full version to download online and it was great. I finally did find a physical disc at a thrift store, but the box and all that was not included. Still hoping I can get either the american or european boxed versions someday. Maybe that company that released the boxed version of Teslagrad can help us out here.

Absolutely love the music in this game. Completely forgot it existed tbh!

Damn I don't see why they haven;'t revisited these and even ported them to smart phones. with all that content, dropping the games and then having the addons available for purchase too would make serious money. Also, why IS he called Jazz Jackrabbit? :) Do the theme songs across the games end up being jazz music or something? :) And was he related to Bucky o Hare?

Kill the Robot with the flametrower!!!! Man!!!.^^ But strange Jazz never crashed on me or had even a glitch and I play it now for quite a while? Actually more like 17 Years or so.^^

Man, that was incredibly detailed and entertaining. You mentioned that Jazz Jackrabbit was supposed to be like Sonic. Was the game speed shown in the video what it would have been on a native system, or did your processor speed it up? In response to the credits: I think I'm real, but sometimes I wonder if I'm just a ghost in the machine. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? And then a twitch streamer says my name, thus re-validating my existence and I can continue eating tacos.

LazyGameReviews

That was actual speed, although it looks even faster seeing as the frame rate is double what YouTube can show

LazyGameReviews

I covered the origins of Jazz and his name and much more in the original Jazz 1 review I did, linked at the end of this video :)

Wow, this looks more like a fangame of Jazz Jackrabbit than an officially made game, but that's probably because it reuses old graphics in a higher resolution.

LazyGameReviews

Old graphics? No, these were all new and fresh, and were quite different and more involved than Jazz 1 in terms of detail and animation!

LazyGameReviews

Yes indeed, it's what had me interested in Dust to being with actually. Can definitely tell it's the same dude's art style.

LazyGameReviews

That'd be awesome. But alas, sounds like they're making a free-to-play shooter to begin with.

As always a great review!. I thought I heard of this game but I guess I was thinking of "Reader Rabbit"?

LazyGameReviews

Heh, possibly. I've reviewed that too! <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwF_vnr0BFU" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwF_vnr0BFU</a>
