This has been a strangely enjoyable game lately, at least in small bursts in-between working on videos. May as well talk about it  :)

LGR - World of Fishing sucks. Which is awesome!

Sometimes, you just need a rather pointless, simple game that you can zone out to. World of Fishing is that kind of distraction.

Wow, and I thought Eurotruck Simulator was pointless. Which I enjoyed a lot as well, I imagine this has the same chillness factor.

I looooove sucking/old /weird games - but I love even more watching Clint playing them

This is like someone fished in World of Warcraft or some other MMO and thought, "There should be an MMO just about fishing!" This actually reminds me a lot of the Mii Plaza game on my Nintendo 3DS that is about fishing and you too can also make aquariums out of what you caught... you can only play it if you tag other 3DS owners with your 3DS to get their Mii characters to give you bait, but still, it's actually a pretty well-done fishing game! But I don't think a fishing game of "substance" exists. :P ...Now I wonder if that is even possible to even create... lol. But I do understand your desire to have a mindless game or thing to do to pass the time, though! Sometimes you just don't wanna think that much for a while, and that's ok :)

Need an LGR fishing club. Also this seems like something I'd actually enjoy for some reason.

I looked up a Sea Chub to see what they look like...

Also, a game like this for me is Lara Croft: Relic Run (it's a mobile game). It's really good though but at the same time it's of no real consequence to me in any way. I enjoy it.

Once you beat a well-made tower defence game there's usually a LOT of things left to do in terms of clearing goals and becoming more powerful and whatnot and replaying levels over and over just for that sake I find to be fairly relaxing and pointless at the same time. My TD games of choice are the Defense Grid and GemCraft games. I'd like to make my own someday as I have several ideas, but it probably won't be any day soon. :P

What was that weird cruise boat simulator you played? This kind of makes me think of that. Oh yeah, "The Good Life". Now that was weird.

But yeah, I definitely play games like this if they are cheap/free.

paper toss for me

An LGR fishing club would be too much investment for me :P But hey, nothing stopping anyone else from making it!

Someone else mentioned the similarity to WoW fishing. I've never played it, but it has me curious!

LazyGameReviews

Definitely a similar chill factor, although with even less of a time investment needed to do much of anything!

TD games definitely fall into a similar thing for me as well. I guess the only one I've ever felt compelled to binge on was the original Plants vs. Zombies, but other than that, they're great to just pass a bit of time with

I love Slurpy Derpy! It's an idle game with lots of neat mechanics. It doesn't need to be run in the background since it time dilates all your progression when you resume it.

For me it was Star Trek Online, the game itself is incredibly repetitive and boring but you just blank out and keep playing for some reason.

There was an arcade fishing game from 1998 I used to play on the computer. Though I can't remember what it was called.
