Fresh Oddware! This time we've got the KeyStik (and Garage) from Plawa-feinwerktechnik, a contraption from the late 1990s that clips onto a keyboard's arrow keys and provides a little joystick. With magnets and springs! I've been itching to talk about one of these things for ages, ever since seeing vague low-res photos floating online of various versions of this device. And after I tried out a somewhat similar and far worse version of the same idea over on LGR Blerbs a while back, I was stoked to finally have the chance to try out this one thanks to a generous donation recently.

And yep, that's this episode! Classic, simple, and hopefully enjoyable Oddware. Which worked out nicely for me since I'm knee-deep in repairs, renovations, and upgrades on the new house and time is at a premium. Heh. To say the least. New paint, new roof, appliances, lights, home security, cameras, windows, shelving, ethernet runs, the whole nine yards. Oh and yard stuff too, I have a proper yard now. Lots to do over the next month and a half-ish as I prepare the new place for moving day. Super exciting but super tiring. And I haven't even started really moving anything yet, ahh! Other than a single table of computers in one of the rooms because I couldn't help myself.

I hope to have one more video done this month, but we'll see how this next week goes. If nothing else, $5+ patrons can expect the next LGR Wrap Up episode as the month comes to a close, and I'm sure I'll have a Blerb or two put together as well as I find the time. Thank you so much for your ongoing support, it is hugely appreciated!

The KeyStik Clip-on Joystick for Keyboards: LGR Oddware

Checking out this weird little Plawa arrow key joystick add-on for PC keyboards. It's a deceptively complex contraption that clips onto your cursor keys and converts it into a mini joystick! Even better if you attach it to a mechanical keyboard, since you get that nice clicky feel. ● LGR links: https://www.patreon.com/LazyGameReviews https://www.twitter.com/LazyGameReviews https://www.facebook.com/LazyGameReviews ● See my Blerb video on the numpad joystick here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9sNup3OzN0 ● Thank you for sending the KeyStik, David! https://www.youtube.com/c/DeckardGames ● All background music licensed from: http://www.epidemicsound.com #LGR #Oddware #Joystick

Great video Clint! Weren't you afraid your keys would get all "sticky"? I'll get my coat...

Uncleawesome

So this stupid thing is not stupid at all. When you showed us the inner workings of it I was surprised about the complexity.

I remember we had such a weird contraption when I was a kid, but I could never get used to it.

haha, I had one of those, well in a different design. I used it once or twice I think. It was soooo bad :D Maybe it is still in some box at my parents place. Will have a look when I am there next time ^^

HAHAHA!! You made me laugh so hard multiple times, had to rewind and listen again and again and again. "CONSTRUCTIONS?!" 🚧 very relatable. Please keep all outtakes/errors/bloopers, it just adds to the whole.... anyways, thanks Clint, you really made my day. /Jim from Sweden

"Thanks! They’re fun but I try not to overdo ‘em :)" - I don't think that's possible!

Clint you gotta put a censor on that spacebar, there are children watching 😅

Hi LGR. How about this Print Shop thing? I know the burn of house finding- we just closed after 18 months of hell. Come visit us in Tampa :-)

I was hoping to comment this on your latest video so you're more likely to see it but looks like I'd need to be on the $7 tier! Regardless, this is pretty exciting https://archive.org/details/duke-nukem-forever-2001-x-0r-jmp ...someone compiled the 2001 Duke Nukem forever somehow!
