LGR - Hot Wheels Computer ACQUIRED

An off-the-cuff, unedited video to show that I got this thing! Repairs are mostly complete, just waiting on a proper PSU replacement.

I have read about that. There was also a Barbie one. I had also read that they had a very high failure rate because of hardware issues. I can see why. I'd like to see a follow up video to see what you end up doing with it.

This video was really popular! Maybe you should post multiple update videos of your restoration/experimentation progress, culminating in a full review of the Hot Wheels/Barbie PC.

You can take off the rust with #0 or 00 steel wool so you may not need a new cable.

Nah, this is well beyond that. I didn't show the full extent of the damage in the video, but the the rust has actually eaten through a significant chunk of the VGA port and the adapter on the monitor cable itself. It's pretty nasty !

Great video! About the keyboard and mouse problem; it might be solved if the motherboard has a pin-row connector for a PS/2 adapter. Look in the Kontron ktqm67/flex manual online to see the pin-out. This is for a modern motherboard, but the pin order should be standard. Anyway it never hurts to measure the supposed 5V pin with a volt meter to verify.
