No LGR video this week I'm afraid. One was in the works but then...

I got a Doom Eternal review code unexpectedly! So I've been playing that all week instead. There's an embargo of course, so my review of it will go live next Tuesday the 17th if all goes according to plan 🤘

In the meantime there's LGR Blerbs. To get myself in the mood for ripping and tearing, I made a vid about this release of The Ultimate Doom soundtrack on vinyl! Annnnd yeah it's not exactly official but hey, if an official one existed I'd be all over it.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish off the originally-intended video and have it up for you next week. Unless things take a turn for the worse with sickness, and ah. Yeah. Doing my best to stay sanitized and away from packed public places. Stay safe, folks!

The Ultimate Doom: Sound Canvas Music on Vinyl

It's awesome that video game soundtracks are being released on vinyl. I've purchased a number of them like Symphony of the Night, Cuphead and The Witcher 3 and they sound great

This is both silly and.. novel, I guess :) The vinyl looks nice, but it's hard for me to listen to the old Doom soundtrack without playing the game. Doom 2016 is something else though. Also, who's Flurblenurp?

Great video mate. First thing I do too is replace the crappy paper sleeves with anti - static inner sleeves. You'll just have to get some plastic outer sleeves now!

That being said, they're probably hoping to fly under the radar, seeing as they teeeeeechnically owe at least two groups of people licensing fees, especially for professionally pressed music like that; lmao. I mean if they're not charging that much it's probably not an issue (cost of using the machines) but anything more than that and I would think they'd want royaltees, y'know?
