Seems that "Create Music" has placed a copyright claim on this. For having a few seconds of the game's highly compressed menu music.

Appealed, they refused to lift. So I've unlisted the video for the time being. This is a manual claim not content ID, so someone went out of their way to make the claim.

Those nonstop eurobeats credits!

As an owner of a 4AGE powered Toyota, I approve of this game, hahaha

*gasp* Multi-type drifting! :o

Bastien Nocera

I want this just for the soundtrack. I have no shame.

This is certainly the most unique typing tutor game I have ever seen. That romanized Japanese gets to be an eyesore, especially in the harder levels... I'm sure with that, on top of the text wrapping around, you were having one hell of a time typing! However, I think I'm more of a Typing of the Dead person though, even if it's not so edutainment in parts. :)

LazyGameReviews

It was severely hurting my brain by the end. Incredibly tough when combined with the tighter restrictions on error rate.

It's interesting how a game's difficulty can be so affected by the player's language. Sure, it can happen once in a while in text-heavy games (that darn monkey wrench puzzle in Monkey Island 2 comes to mind or pretty much the entirety of Companions of Xanath, which is extremely pun-reliant), but when even the most basic game mechanic is so dependent in someone's native tongue it's likely to affect a game's popularity in different regions, regardless of the quality.

LazyGameReviews

Yeah it's something I hadn't really given much thought before. I knew a lot of my speed on English typing came from muscle memory and recognizing whole words, but didn't think it was that much!

Hey LGR, is that end-slate link to a Museum Madness review supposed to be there? I enjoyed the review, but I have a feeling you weren't trying to upload that one to us yet.

Mighty Jabba's Collection

Someone who reads Japanese would be able to just ignore the romanized part altogether and just type what they see in Japanese, similar to the way you described English typing tutors working for you. So kudos for making it through just on the romaji alone. I read and write Japanese, but I would have had a really hard time with the romanization scheme they were using (such as using "si" instead of "shi" and "syo" instead of "sho." At least they give an optional option in the options to change the romanization method. :)

I have a friend all into cars. Also, funny that the song it plays is "Running in the 90s".

The Romaji thing reminds me how i stumbled upon "Typing of the Dead" arcade cabinet in Akihabara, thought that i was going to ace the game with my epic typing, but lost all the coins in like five minutes

Yes, it was already posted to Patreon last week https://www.patreon.com/posts/lgr-edutainment-17892892

I regret watching videos here because it means there won't be a new one tomorrow, but sometimes I get greedy. Thanks for ruining tomorrow, Clint!

My partner and I were just talking about initial D before I checked patreon - Weird! Great video, Clint!

Winning the AE86 Shuichi Shigeno Version in Gran Turismo 3 was the first time I was introduced to the panda coloured AE86, loved it and that's how I got into Intial D... kind of backwards. I wonder if there were other typing games using the same mechanics but with different anime?

4AFE, 3SGE and 3SGTE here for myself... mates silver top 4AGE is an absolute joy, 4 throttle bodies on a 4 cylinder is nuts.

Great video, can't wait to share this one around once it's up publicly!

The over-speed bell in the background is haunting. Half the video I thought it was just in my head. It's just loud enough to be noticeable has to be on purpose or maybe me ears are just busted.

Ezydenias

HOLY SHIT! I would just buy it for being Initial D related.^^ Man love that show.^^
