Email Slave Part 3 (Patreon)

About a week after receiving a mysterious email, and things seemed like normal. Nothing had been happening out of the ordinary. Daily you would awake, message your controller to ask them for tasks and go about your usual errands. Life was good, fulfilling, purposeful. 

That's when you got the call.

You answered to hear a voice, a voice of a woman.

"Hello there, this is The Secret Subject of Subject Corps recruitment and retraining department, how are you today?"

You don't recognise the sound but for some reason her name feels oddly familiar, like something from a dream. She doesn't even wait for a response, as if she was expecting you to be unable to reply like you are.

"Great. I am calling in regards to your recent programming. I have the next steps for you to become a slave for Subject Corp, I'm sure you find that idea thrilling and can't wait to get started. I'll be brief. You must call us back when you are ready to move on from stage two, understood?"

"Yes." The voice coming from your throat felt almost robotic in inflection. Like it wasn't yours. 

"Good. We will speak when you are ready." 

She hung up and you heard the dial tone. What did she mean by 'call when I am ready?' You stare off into the distance, lost in thought, confused by the message until you notice something odd. Looking down you notice a phone number scrawled on a post-it on the desk in front of you. No memory of writing it yourself nor is there anyone around who could have done this, you are puzzled and intrigued. Do you dare to call them back?
