You know what's crazy about the camerawork being so bad here? SBS also does Inkigayo, the weekly music show that is usually known for having the best camerawork of them all. I seriously don't understand how those same people fumbled so hard here. Yeah, of course take all the time you need with AAA. These shows are ridiculously long. And maybe by next week, AAA will finally have uploaded the remaining four performances. SB19 went up today at least, so that's a start 😅 TVXQ! special - NCT Xiaojun, Doyoung and Chenle also covered a TVXQ song. This one is called I Believe. - Funnily enough, this aespa cover sounds way more like what I'm familiar with 😄 I already mentioned under the MV reaction how Sarah Connor released her version of this song just two months before TVXQ and this being a female cover makes it sound so nostalgic to me :) Also, aespa are absolutely killing me but what else is new - To answer your question about the length, it's pretty common for covers on shows like this to just be a shortened version of the songs. - I watched SBS the day of, so I saw this Rebel performance a day before the MV came out. Absolutely mad song! BOYNEXTDOOR×RIIZE×ZEROBASEONE - I recommend checking out BND at some point. They bring a very nice youthful freshness into the genre :) - LOVE the new dance break in ZB1 Crush! - My favourite part of the Riize performance is how they included a snippet of Memories at the end ❤️ xikers - I got a ticket to a xikers concert on February 1st! Very excited! - As always, crazy goblin energy 👹 NMIXX - Funky Glitter Christmas came out last year and was the last song with former member Jini. She left the group shortly after. I'm not sure if you've seen her solo debut but if you're interested, it's called C'mon. - Nmixx did Soñar at all the other year end shows so far, they probably just wanted to NMIXX CHANGE UP - Lily's livestreams are iconic. Realest kpop idol out there fr - Rock remixes seem to be a big thing this year. STAYC - Reminder that Sieun is the main vocal. And then she goes and busts out THIS rap verse. - With these year end shows, the artists just show off whatever they've done in the past 12 months. Not always necessarily the newest of the new songs. - Big appreciation for all handheld mics and live vocals! - I LOVE the jumps in the chorus 🥰 - I don't understand the backlash against Beautiful Monster, it's honestly a top 3 Stayc title track along with So Bad and Bubble. NiziU - At least they didn't completely fuck up the camerawork here. No ultrawide shots on the tutting part! - A wild Felix appeared! YUNA×YEONJUN - Blink Queen Yuna in the house! - I hope Jennie saw this. - Dude, this concept is PERFECT for Yuna. And from what I saw online, Blinks are also very appreciative of this performance :) - I like to think that Yeonjun got a bit of assistance from Jungkook while preparing this - Agreed, Yeonjun needs a solo album pronto. Neo Christmas Technology 127 - The Kicking Fact Checkers delivering a slow Christmas jam. Not something that would ever make it into my playlists but it's nice for the season I suppose. - I'm personally not a fan of those lights in the audience. I get the idea but it honestly makes it look like Covid times where no actual audience is present and the production put those lights there to fill the empty space 😅 It's also a rather static look. I much prefer seeing people wave their lightsticks around. Seungmin & I.N - They're covering That's Okay by D.O. from EXO. - Those jellyfish lights are super nice :) And the vocals too of course! NewJeans - Ditto supremacy! - This version of OMG is from their new remix album. Really good stuff in there, I highly recommend listening to it in your own time! They turned Hype Boy into a completely different song. CRAVITY - I just recently did my full Cravity binge and I really like them! Suggestion for a future reaction whenever the chance presents itself: My Turn. That song is bonkers. - And that's the downside of a central stage. Gives them the option to show pointless shots from the back fromis_9 - You wouldn't know this song anyway. Attitude is a b-side to #menow. First song on the Unlock My World album. And probably my favourite fromis song of all! It used to be Airplane Mode but Attitude completely took over my brain and forced me to create a new playlist just for songs like it. Granted, Airplane Mode did the same thing back then as well 😂 Safe to say that fromis_9 have a lot of power over me 🫠 - Yeah how about we don't even show the fucking stage now. Just pan over the audience, that's a good angle 👍🏻 - This is amazing but I actually prefer the original arrangement. Much more sensual and seductive. Honestly, I need you to just react to Unlock My World. The full album. It's a complete masterpiece front to back. Top 10 album of the year for sure! LE SSERAFIM - BOOM BOOM BOOM 내 심장이 뛰네 GET IT LIKE BOOMBOOMBOOM GET IT LIKE BOOMBOOMBOOM - yea yunjin makes me choke too - It is a bit odd for Eunchae to use a handheld mic. She doesn't usually do it and now she's the only one. I would also assume technical issues with her headset and this was the last second solution. - Oh, the Overwatch community is not gonna be happy with you saying that it was Fortnite 😂 IVE - Off The Record is probably my favourite from the recent EP. - Baddie is just plain fun. Sometimes that's all I need. aespa - Karina, the woman you are. - And before you ask, no I have still not recovered from seeing them live. - So cool how they bring a new remix of Drama for every new award show (though nothing beats the rock remix from MMA) ENHYPEN - Still Monster is a b-side to Sweet Venom. - The drip is on point 💯💯🔥🔥 - While Sweet Venom is not my favourite thing Enha have put out, it's still good groovy fun. TXT - No why did they cut off Sugar Rush Ride before the chorus hit it's second drop? ☹️ - That red and blue flashing is really tripping me up - Going from super dark to super christmas, aight. - Those christmas capes really didn't last long 😅 ITZY - Is this your first full exposure to Kill Shot? Oh boy. - Yuna needs to stop. - All I need now is a Korean title track that goes down the same sonic path as Kill Shot. - Yeah I'm sorry but Cake is just really underwhelming after Kill Shot. - Kill Shot was very slightly remixed but it stayed pretty close to the original. THE BOYZ - Hey, The Boyz are The Stealer after all 😃 - What, do you not want to see some random girl's hand? - It's really cool that they still haven't lost their theatrical streak from Road to Kingdom! - The production team better Watch It before I break into their homes at night ಠ_ಠ ATEEZ - Space Bunny Seonghwa here to wake you up! - Moment of appreciation for those fits! San looks incredible 🔥🔥 - Can't wait for Ateez to take my money a third time. And for this next concert I'm getting the lightstick too! SHINee - SHINee is so back! - No one does it like them. This majestic, triumphant 2nd gen sound! - 2023 really is the year of SHINee's grand return. Such a shame that Onew had to miss out on most of it :/ - I think SBS might have been the HARDest they've gone with this song (G)I-DLE - Maybe you already heard but they should have had a collab stage with Le Sserafim. But Minnie and Shuhua got sick so they didn't have enough time to rehearse it. I'm actually surprised they're even here at all. BOYNEXTDOOR×RIIZE×ZEROBASEONE×&TEAM - A collection of covers here! Jingle Bells is the obvious one ofc. - &Team covered (Cause) I'm Your Girl by S.E.S., the very first girl group under SM! - Riize did Odd Imagination by Jinu, who is a member of Winner. A YG group that debuted just a year before iKON. - Boynextdoor did White by Fin.K.L, another legendary first gen girl group. - ZB1 did Couple by Sechskies, a first gen boy group this time. - And the full collab stage is a cover of Miracle by Super Junior. Stray Kids - Just casually starting off in the audience - Ah yes, the infamous SKZ×NJ collab - Dude, if I ever get to see them live, I'm gonna collapse from exhaustion. - Yeah just show the part of the stage that's completely empty, why the fuck not - This feels like it was shot by people who have never seen the choreo before and are just winging it with random angles. NCT - It's the Mark Lee variety hour! - Baggy Jeans is not even half a year old and the song is already so iconic. - YEA BOIII - SOS is a b-side from the ISTJ album. - I find it so entertaining how you get an eargasm every damn time Haechan starts singing 😂 Understandable tho - No you're right, this camera work is actually disrespectful to the artists. I keep laughing at it because it's so ridiculous but holy shit dude. - I swear, next year I'm gonna break into that venue and steal all the ceiling cameras so they can't use these stupid fucking angles anymore. - Taeyong's intro rap is taken from Je Ne Sais Quoi, a b-side on the Fact Check album. - Hype energy through the roof, man! - But wasn't there supposed to be a collab stage between NCT and Stray Kids? What happened to that? - Would have been so good if WayV were here too, performing On My Youth. Just to make that NCT finale complete. I make these playlists for my personal use first and foremost but when I already have them, why not share them with you, right? 😇 Loved all the performances but honestly, this camera work was worse than Mama 😭 I didn't think that was even possible. Like, if I were to rank all the year end shows so far based only on their camera work, it'd probably be something like this: 1. MMA - Melon Music Awards (by far the best one) 2. AAA - Asia Artist Awards (mostly quite good and some fun reaction shots from the other artists) 3. TMA - The Fact Music Awards (the absolute middle ground. Nothing bad but also completely unremarkable. Didn't feel like a proper award show, it just looked like any normal weekly music show) 4. KBS Music Bank Global Festival (decent in the first half but when they switch to the huge stadium venue in the second half, it's about as bad as MAMA) 5. MAMA - Mnet Asian Music Awards (I don't need to explain, do I?) 6. SBS Gayo Daejeon (what the actual fuck dude) Let's hope the people at MBC know what they're doing. NCT is MAD MAD 🔥 Their stage perf was so amazing!! But SBS also really pissed me off with their camerawork not only with NCT but for all other groups. Not only that, artists like TEN got into an accident as well. Like are they for real? And the fact that this was not the first time something happened during their event. I still remembered when WENDY got into a huge fall accident and guess what? It's also for SBS year end stage back then. That was sooo scary. Fortunately, Solar from Mamamoo saw Wendy immediately. I'm so mad. They still don't learn their lesson. Btw, NCT Dream released a performance video of their SOS stage with better camera work. 🥹💚
