I’m very excited for Queendom Puzzle! If you’re interested in watching it I agree with you that it makes the most sense to watch it as close to live as possible to avoid spoilers and stress about getting spoiled. They released 4 performance videos with all of the contestants. Sometimes Mnet doesn’t actually show the performance videos in the show like with O.O.O. in gp999 and they just assume everyone already watched it.

I'll get to the actual BP reaction once I'm finally home. I'm still on my way back from the Red Velvet concert, both physically and mentally. Like, what the actual fuck did I witness yesterday? Red Velvet just shot up to Ult status with that show. Anyway, I just wanted to comment real quick on the intro regarding the next show. I was actually going to bring up Queendom Puzzle as a potential next survival show, so this is perfect! One idea I just had for the Sunday between shows is, in addition to the QP signal songs, maybe checking out one MV from each of the represented groups. To get to know them a bit before we get into the show. This might be too much since there are contestants from 16 different groups here so just see this as a suggestion rather than a request. But I do have MVs I can recommend. Here is the full list of Queendom Puzzle contestants and one music video suggestion for each of them: - Dohwa (Chanmi) from AOA. You know her from the first season of Queendom but I think you haven't checked out any AOA MVs so far, right? So, I recommend Like A Cat. It's one of their iconic songs and it wasn't featured on Queendom so it'd be completely new to you: https://youtu.be/qEYOyZVWlzs - Bora, Jiwon and Chaerin from Cherry Bullet. Yes, Bora is back AGAIN on another survival show. She just doesn't stop. So yeah, you know Bora and Jiwon from Girls Planet and you've also seen CheBul's latest comeback, so I'll recommend Love So Sweet. Still their best song: https://youtu.be/9OZPwJdl_4w - Yeeun from CLC. Obligatory Fuck Cube. But any excuse to check out more CLC is a good one. So here's Hobgoblin: https://youtu.be/u9OxRFab6o4 - Riina and Hwiseo from H1-Key. They're pretty new, debuting in early 2022. But their most recent comeback Rose Blossom has gone somewhat viral in Korea. And the MV looks to be quite heavy on symbolism and storytelling. Perfect for your reaction style: https://youtu.be/vfUAckewh_8 - Sangah from Lightsum. Ah yes, Cube's most recent victims. Why aren't Cube doing anything with their shiny new group? Their last comeback was over a year ago! Anyway, I recommend Vivace. It's my favourite of the three title tracks. Sangah is the one with blue hair in this one: https://youtu.be/y5WZ2htfiZU - Kei from Lovelyz. I don't think I need to introduce her to you, right? Since Lovelyz have disbanded anyway, I was thinking if I should recommend Kei's solo I Go. But I think Lovelyz's final comeback Obliviate is more to your taste than a slow ballad: https://youtu.be/9GUqqRzIZgw - JooE from Momoland. This is easy. Bboom Bboom. How the fuck MLD Entertainment managed to fumble the bag so bad is beyond me. They had this ultra viral hit with currently SIX HUNDRED MILLION views. And today? Momoland is disbanded after several years of minimal activity. Hopefully the same fate doesn't befall Lapillus. Anyway, JooE is pretty easy to spot in this MV. Blonde twin tails: https://youtu.be/JQGRg8XBnB4 - Yuki from Purple Kiss. I think the only title track you haven't seen yet is the debut Ponzoña, right? It's also nice and dark, just how you like it ;) https://youtu.be/8Lyf6PipuIg - Yeonhee, Juri and Suyun from Rocket Punch. You've seen the most recent cb Flash but the one before that is absolute 80s synthwave perfection! More people need to experience the glory that is Chiquita: https://youtu.be/N_2xEKsvkLo - Seoyeon and Jiwoo from tripleS. You've already seen all three tripleS MVs, so I can't recommend much here. Although, +(KR)ystal Eyes, the subunit with Seoyeon and Jiwoo, is going to release a video for their b side track Touch. It'll be a new version that features the newest tripleS member Sohyun! Should come out in a few days. - Soojin, Soeun, Jihan and Zoa from Weeekly. You've seen Ven Para but that's not really a good representation of Weeekly's true style. Listen to After School to see what they are REALLY about. It's one of those super happy upbeat songs that still manage to make you cry. Peak music: https://youtu.be/qfVuRQX0ydQ - Elly from Weki Meki. Your only touch point with this group so far has been the Choi Yoojung solo. Weki Meki technically isn't disbanded but I have to ask, where the hell are they and why haven't we heard anything from them since 2021? It's a shame because they have some really cool songs, especially Cool (ha!): https://youtu.be/AHikmx0eVXM - Yeoreum from WJSN. Another person I really don't need to introduce to you. I'll still recommend Save Me, Save You because it's amazing and we all need more WJSN in our lives: https://youtu.be/sNdoOharjeQ - Nana and Wooyeon from woo!ah! Don't tell this to anyone but I've developed a bit of a crush on Nana. And even just from her performance on the Queendom Puzzle signal song, she's already my favourite candidate on this show! Her group has been growing on me a lot over the last year too. Rollercoaster is an absolutely magical song: https://youtu.be/KkyUE7TcBcs There's also Miru from NMB48 (sister group of AKB48) and Fye from BNK48 (Thai sister group of AKB48) but I'm not familiar with either so I can't give recs. This is obviously a lot and I completely understand if you want to take it a bit slower for one sunday. Not check out so much all at once. These are just suggestions after all. You could also stick to MVs of the artists that'll be completely new to you. This would drop the number of MVs I recommended from 14 down to just five. Or just get to know them on the show itself. Do what feels right to you! Yes, this took a long time to write up. But I'm stuck on a delayed train with nothing better to do anyway and I just really like recommending songs to other people :)

I am very happy with the final line up! I had five picks I really wanted to make it: 1.Zhang Hao 2.Sung Hanbin 3. Kim Taerae 4.Park Hanbin 5.Park Grunwook, but since Zhang Hao is my first pick I was so afraid he might drop out because of what happened with Xiaoting in gp999 and him being Chinese too... I am really into Zb1 right now and I love all the members so much! I watched everything they put out so far and now my bias ranking changed a lot like I have 5 biases in the group rn 1. Zhang Hao (ult), 2. Han Yujin (he grew on me so much since the announcement) 3. Park Gunwook 4. Kim Taerae (I watch his Man in love fancam at least once a day) 5. Sung Hanbin... but I love the rest as well and I am so excited for their future! Actually, the last group I had that feeling was Svt... Before Svt my fav group changed like every few months from Bts to Ateez to Nct to Enhypen to Seventeen... and Svt is still my fav group and they will always be special to me but I just never thought there would be another group that could touch my heart like Svt did and Zb1 hasn't even debuted yet

Moonlight Is A Mixer

btw the difference between first and second place was 109k not 19k, they missed a 0 in the subs, so it wasn’t a small gap really i was surprised (and happy) at hao being first but not as surprised as you maybe? because hanbin was 3rd in the interim ranks 3 days before the final so it wasn’t guaranteed that he would be brought back up to first

- DEFINITELY watch Queendom Puzzle 🤪 - Of course I know crazy frog - Has there ever been an immovable #1 like Han Bin? 🤔 I'm thinking of someone but to tell you would be a little spoiler - "three months ago". Damn, these shows always take more time than you think. - About companies calling the eliminated contestants, that actually DOES happen. A lot even. There's been many occasions where eliminated contestants joined groups that debuted soon after. You can even argue that those members can be even better off because their group usually has 7 year contracts, where the groups from these mnet shows are usually temporary... - I'll help you sit on the sofa referred to #1 seat. Get your mind out of the gutter. - Seeing your face when you saw that there was still 2 hours left of eliminations was quite funny 😁 and sad - it's interesting that neither of the top vocalists (Hui and Jay) made it.

I would totally love for you to do QUEENDOM PUZZLE next, I'm tuning in since Yeoreum will be here. Also I heard a season 2 of Street Women Fighters is coming in August too. You were asking about if someone was able to keep first position an entire survival show, from what I saw, I think J.YOU kept 1st place everytime during TO BE WORLD KLASS (survival show who created TOO/TO1) so someone did kept first position but they rarely do. I will be honest, I'm glad Hui didn't make it. I feel like it's good enough he ended up at the final at the end, he mostly wanted to get more people to know about him through this show, and PENTAGON as well, it was also a challenge for himself. So I do think it helped and he didn't need more (debuting) Jongwoo wasn't debuting because he had half internationals fans liking him and the others hating him, worse case Koreans fans did not like at all. Keita could have made it but Koreans fans dragged his scores down (he was literally around last place with Koreans) under the excuse he was too small when it's just because he was Japanese (I get the tension between Japan/Korea but still doesn't make it right for me all the hate he got from them). In one theater, some Koreans fans literally went silence during HOT SUMMER only when it was Keita or Jongwoo showing on screen, worse they even laughed at Jongwoo (a lot of them were calling ugly and shit like this) So, in a way, as much as Keita was my last pick standing andI was dissapointed, I think it's better he didn't debut here because I would have not endured all the hate. I'm not fond of Jay (still I don't hate on him) but I do think he would be a good as soloist, I think it would work better than a group actually. He fit more as soloist than a member of a boysgroup. Junhyeon will actually debut at some point with the others trainees of his agency REDSTART (Woojin who was in MAN IN LOVE, Minseoung who was in BACK DOOR and was often doing the acrobatics, Keonhee who was in KTL), they already have things like fanmeetings I think. You talking about Wumuti, I will always be mad at MNET because he would definitely have gone further if it wasn't for MNET not giving him enough screentime when he was still here. I don't think people would have noticed him if he didn't make his catch sentence, thank lord he was smart. MNET only gave him a lot of screentime after they knew he was eliminated and I will always get mad at this. He also got more screentime only in the litlle Youtube videos that they released and of course not everyone watch it? People suddenly being shocked as how good of a singer he is when they watched one of those videos, where he sang Energetic with Taerae and Seungeon (two of the best vocalist on this show) and was picked by Hui among them at the end. It's like MNET not showing more behind for ZOOM when both Haruto and Wumuti actually worked on the choreography, that's so upsetting. For the announcement, it's definitely because of MNET. I always see people blaming MCs for all the wait (whatever it's elimination or final) when honestly it's most of the time not their faults if they have to stay still and wait for the cue from the staff. I'm sure most of the MCs want to go home at some point 😂 I watched PEAK TIME at the same time as BOYS PLANET and Lee Seunggi is the host/MC here but it's so funny because he is blunt and directly say that he actually have to wait and make it longer because of the staff, he doesn't hide it.

Moonlight Is A Mixer

i think “i’ll help you sit on the sofa” was just referencing the top 9 seats, ricky referred to them as sofas during the 3rd ranking announcement saying he always wanted to sit on them, so the fan made the poster saying they’ll help him do that

serenity

The only reason Minhyun was taking so long to announce the members was because he was essentially being forced to drag it out honestly he was going pretty quickly compared to past survival shows they will just stare into the camera for a full minute without saying anything also the members here were taking 500 years to say their speeches lmao

serenity

For those who were on stan twitter, this lineup makes 1000000% sense, Ricky was SOOOOOO popular even before the show started he was the main character of Tik Tok lmao. Him and Gunwook shot up because they had tons of individual supporters, however that caused people like Keita and Park Hanbin to drop because although they are liked generally by everyone, they didn't have a stronger solo fanbase who focused soley on voting for them if that makes sense. Like for me I was voting 5 times a day for Ricky and convincing others around me to vote as well, even people who didn't watch the show. Also these members are the ones that had the strongest chemistry together, half the group is from Yuehua entertainment, plus members like Taerae Jiwoong and Gyuvin were constantly going viral on the internet so this lineup is great. I personally hope they have a bright concept, since they are debuting in the summer and most of the members give me fresh flower boy energy like Matthew Taerae and Hanbin, also there's no super distinct rap-focused member so I think a fresh vocal heavy concept would be great for them, something like Say My Name or Jelly Pop

Maria

oh my god the start of the video…i didn’t mean to make you feel so bad, it’s okay we all have forgetful moments 😭 also just wanted to mention, there was a mistake in the subtitles so the gap between zhang hao and hanbin was actually over 109,000 so it wasn’t actually as close as it might have been, compared to like p06-p08 who were all within literal hours thousands of each other (they all had 1.3 mil)

Eurone

Realistically speaking, all biases aside, this lineup was probably to be expected. Whenever I would see people mention their top9, at least 7/9 of them were there. I was 100% positive that Ricky would make it considering how popular he is outside of the fandom, even people who didn't watch the show ended up voting for him (his "young and rich, tall and handsome" gig made all of us pay more attention to him). There's the F4 (in reference to the drama 'boys over flower' where a group of super handsome guys would be called F4) which consists of Jiwoong, Sung Hanbin, Yujin, and Gyuvin, undeniably the most popular ones in korea, they never left the top9 since ep1 and there's no way knetz would separate them I would say. As a comment said, they have a big potential to go viral every business day and I really hope they get a good song to debut with. I'm so happy that Zhang Hao finally gets to be first, if there's anyone Hanbin has to give his seat to, it has to be Zhang Hao. Mnet gave us interim rankings like 4 days before the finale and they only showed us 3/18 ranks (as expected from mnet...), one of them happened to be Sung Hanbin who was ranked 3rd. Rosins (Zhang Hao's fandom) managed to gaslit themselves into thinking that Zhang Hao must've dropped big time, "if Hanbin gets 3rd then how low must Zhang Hao be then ?", that's what most of us where thinking and when he wasn't called for 3rd place, we started panicking over twitter, looking back at it now it makes total sense these two end up in the top2. Hao was probably 1st during the interim ranking and that's why mnet didn't show his ranking, little did they know, their strategy backfired and we now have our first foreign center !

Boys watch Boys Planet too! - Well shit, I turn 25 on Sunday. According to certain people, I need to drop Kpop and all other hobbies next week. Well, it ain't gonna happen. And the people I went to see Red Velvet with are also around my age, some of them over 25. Irene herself debuted at 23 years old. Now she's 32 and absolutely thriving as an idol! - Woongki is 21. How could anyone think that he's too old? But sadly there is some truth to this from an industry perspective. An Jeongmin, a GP999 candidate, is only turning 19 next month and she has been told by people in the industry that she's already too old to debut. I fucking hate this. - I wish you didn't skip through the members going up the stairs. I think it's an important part of this lineup reveal. - Your Park Hanbin bias is so real. He was my favourite candidate too. Such a shame he didn't make it. But I WILL follow him where ever he goes. - „Please reveal them now.“ *nothing happens* thanks Mnet. - Come on man, don't skip through their speeches as well. Now, on to the final lineup. - Kim Jiwoong An obvious choice. But the way he had to ask for the name of the group again just cracks me up. - Kim Gyuvin I never had him in my personal top 9 but looking back at all of his performances, he deserves it. And I REALLY like his speech. - Kim Taerae Hell yeah! I love his voice so much, this is perfect! - Park Gunwook YEEAH BOIIII. - Ricky This fucker actually went and got tattooed on his neck during the show. He is going to be a nightmare for the music shows :D - Seok Matthew Oh fuck, he's in MNH? Boy, get the hell out of there asap! You don't deserve to be mistreated like Chungha was! - Sung Hanbin The immovable object has been moved. But this is still an insanely high ranking and very deserved. - Zhang Hao This is amazing. I'm really looking forward to see what his solo will be like. Maybe including his violin playing? Would be awesome! - Han Yujin I'm actually suprised they didn't do three ninth place candidates. Yujin really proved himself here. So this is it. A really good lineup of members. Of course I'm disappointed about some of the guys who didn't get to be part of ZB1 but that's just how it is. This is the ranking after the top 9: 10. Jay 11. Park Hanbin 12. Keita 13. Lee Hoetaek 14. Kum Junhyeon 15. Lee Jeonghyeon 16. Yoo Seungeon 17. Na Kamden 18. Yoon Jongwoo As you can see, Jay was super close and Park Hanbin wasn't too far off either. But what I really do not understand is, why the fuck is Jongwoo in last place?? Like, I know why but I just don't get it. I'm gonna gather a bit more info on some of the eliminated contestants and post another comment.

I mentioned that among the people that didn't want Hui to debut in ZB1 was Hui himself. Let me explain. This is my source: https://www.reddit.com/r/CubePentagon/comments/13ko5nj/230518_hui_on_boys_planet_time_harder_than_the/ - It took him about 2 weeks to decide whether or not to go on Boys Planet. The other members of Pentagon were pretty surprised and some were not happy about it. Jinho even unfollowed Hui on Instagram but they have reconciled since. -When he saw the trainees perform Shine during the initial evaluation, he started to miss his members and thought „I want to go home.“ Seems like there was some regret in his decision to to on this show. - Hui made some comments after the show on not debuting in ZB1: "I was just happy. I was just so happy that this program was over, and the result was what I always said, one more stage than ranking It was more important to show a good image to many people. In order to do that, I had to get a high ranking, so I was greedy, but it was not a ranking for competition." Which sounds to me like he wanted to get a good result and not actually debut and that's exactly what he got! - Regarding Pentagon's contracts which will be up this year: "I don't think it's a situation where I can tell you hastily. We are open to various discussions. The relationship between the members is so good. So, while having more open conversations, I am thinking about how to develop into a better team." Hui is actually already back with Pentagon. I think Pentagon had some festival appearances in Korea last week and Hui was there on stage with his group. And I also want to mention the other contestants that are/were part of already existing groups: - Cha Woongki and Oh Sungmin (Jerome) were in TO1 until they were removed in June 2022. - Jang Jiho, Seo Won and Winnie are active members of NINE.i who debuted in March 2022. - Jeon Wooseok is a member of the predebut group Allart Boyz. We don't know when they'll debut but once they do, they will be the brother group of PIXY. - Jung Hwanrok is an active member of Withus who debuted in November 2020. - Kim Jiwoong will obviously debut in ZB1 but I also want to mention that he was a member of INX, a group that existed from August 2016 to November 2017. - Lee Dongyeol (Xiao) and Lee Hwanhee are members of Up10tion who debuted in September 2015. Although they both of them terminated their contracts with the company in March 2023. So I'm not quite sure what the status is. Apparently they are supposed to still be part of this group? - Lee Seunghwan was a member of another temporary survival show group: 1the9, who were active from April 2019 to August 2020. - Yoon Jongwoo (Ze:U) was a member of Black Level who debuted in February 2022. That group is apparently not disbanded but four of the six members left in November, including Jongwoo. They also haven't released anything after their pretty poorly produced debut (seriously, the audio is so unbalanced) and the social media channels have been silent since October. - Jay was never in any group but he has released a solo song called Liar in September: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOKyq8ubPDs - Keita is an active member of Ciipher who debuted in March 2021. - Krystian is a member of the global pop group Now United. When I say global, I mean GLOBAL. They have/had members from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, India, Ivory Coast, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Mexico, Philippines, Russia, Senegal, Spain, the UK and USA. But I think Krystian is not currently active in the group.

It was another roller coaster rewatching this series with you. I think all the members who debuted deserved their rightful spot. Literally everyone thought the other 9 should debut as a team 😭. The others seem happy in their solo activities, and majority of the members are active on Insta and collabing :) Can't wait for ZB1's official debut this year ❤

Oh, I'm excited for Queendom puzzle although I barely know half of the girls. However, I still believe that the best Korean survival show this year was Physical 100 😁😉
