I’m rewatching boys planet for the fourth time already and damn I’m still surprised that Jay placed last… but ngl he gets so much hate from kfans because of false rumors and literally twitter was full of hate on him while bp was airing 😤 but I’m glad that so many international fans love him it’s giving me so much joy to see how loved he is by them🥹 Also switch team did such a good job I really loved Kamden here (our Pou🫶🏻🥹) but I was sad that Keita didn’t stood out as much as in other performances but it’s okay he still did an amazing job 💅🏻😌 and Jongwoo and PHanbin slayed as always Say my name performance was so cute like even Jiwoong did an amazing job being cute and adorable 🤣🥹 (also he played in a BL /boys love/ series) also I’m really glad Matthew took the sub vocal 2 position because it really suits him more and he really stood out pretty much the most… Yujin is everyone’s son so I can’t say anything just that he did so good like he’s really one of the best dancer in that show like till now I’m always rewatching Law performance and his part of choreography is just🤌🏻 Over me performance is just addictive..Jay’s high notes and adlips🤌🏻 Zhanghao’s and KuanJui’s dance break🛐 also Ricky did so good and he stood out a lot like this is the type of song that really suits him because I feel like he didn’t really stood out in Rush Hour like he also did good job there be this concept is the right for him Btw I don’t know if you noticed but bp has 13 episodes now since 12th episode is a finale and 13th episode is commentary of final lineup so I hope you’ll watch it too🫶🏻 Can’t wait for next week and another reaction for bp and also another content😌 stay safe and healthy ❣️

- Thank you for the reaction despite the situation you're in. Must be scary to live like this, I hope you and your family and friends can stay safe and have some sense of normal life. I'll keep supporting you as I like your content a lot! - As a kpop fan that recently entered her 30s (yes im a grandma in kpop age lol), when it comes to visuals I just kind of... appreciate them? Like many, I like to look at pretty people. Idols are artist, a living form of art, when they dance, sing, perform or model for stuff. I generally disagree with debuting minors (esp below 16ish) so I dont consume the content of groups with many young members. But in many groups the age is mixed and I just have an approach that "oh this guy or girl are really pretty/cute" but in my head they are like young sibling/cousin energy. I think thats where the distinction is, if people point out their visual in a "romantic" or "se*ual" way (god it feels wrong to even type, sorry), thats just wrong imho. If you're a full out adult (and it doesnt matter if you're 21 or 40, tho the older the worse it is) and pointing out sexiness of a 16 yo, its just not right. With LipJ comments, I kinda just feel... ugh. Dont do that. But then again, Im sure korean culture/their expressions might be misunderstood by me as an average east european so I cannot really demonize the behavior. On other hand, we heard of countless sad cases of s** exploitation of people (incl minors, both girls and boys) in this industry for years. I wanna believe it has been changing for the better but sometimes you can still hear about some nasty cases coming to light. - It was Jiwoong who was acting in BL (Boys Love) kdramas. Also some participants were child actors at some points but I dont have the details. - Musical mission was hilarious, I wish there was a full cut on yt or something lol - Typical training sessions stuff, masters just being full doom and gloom for drama, I cant take the program seriously at all at these points. Criticism is valid and necessary, dramatic bgm and telling trainees "dont dance at all if you gonna be flopping around" is not zzz - Switch was fun, I think all of them performed great, ofc PHanbin absolutely smashing it haha. Idk why it was ranked so low tbh. - I was commenting under last video too, I just think this whole Matthew drama was mostly misunderstanding and bit poor communication. Matthew is not fully fluent in korean too so that might be an extra aspect. He was hurt because he really wanted the part. It just took him some hours to come to terms to it that its ultimately to betterment of the team. Jiwoong felt sorry because it felt at the time that Matthew was just put in front of a decision to swap him to vocal2 instead of being an active participant to rest his case. - Say my name was cute. It charted really well in Korea iirc - Over Me team had a week of practice AS 10 people with Jongwoo as the leader. Hao became leader once they settled the team number to 5 and started practicing actual proper positioning for each member - The performance for Over Me was my favourite. Its a great song and they performed it beautifully. Jay did not deserve the last spot at all, especially not with so little points, but what can you do... At the 3rd mission the guys had already set fanbases, and sadly Jay didnt have much support in k-votes. Also its Chen Kuan Jui (he pronounces it Rrrrrrrui haha). - Audio is weird in many episodes. I noticed it as pretty jarring in the finale episode especially but you just have to stomach it :( - Good luck in avoiding spoilers for next two weeks. Avoid stuff from Kcon as the debut group was performing there. - Are you gonna say your top 9 at the end of next episode? Just before the finale, it would be interesting to see who would be your ideal team So sorry for wall of text lol

I think something that needs to be emphasized is that Matthew is not at native-fluency in Korean just yet, many K fans have stated that the way Matthew speaks sounds like google translate so the words he uses may come out harsher or flatter than intended because he is translating directly in his head word for word and excluding nuances that would soften his statements. Mnet took full advantage of this, ramped up the dramatic audio, and dragged out a small disagreement that was resolved within one day, and stretched it out within 3 episodes. That is straight up sabotaging him, especially considering all of the people who are so impressionable when it comes to evil editing. Matthew might be Korean but he is still technically a foreign trainee so he was not safe from Mnet's wrath and it heavily changed people's perception of him which is really sad because I personally think Say My Name is Matthew's best performance yet during this mission his fancam was amazing but the whole "Drama" overshadowed it.

Ree

Switch sounds like such an NCT song idk why 😭

It's not your headphones, there is a legit audio issue with a couple of the episodes on Viki. The finale is particularly bad.

2023-06-18 13:55:28 - Politics are dumb but unfortunately very important and I think that everyone needs to at least be in the loop about what's going on, why it is going on and who is responsible. Being able to make an informed decision during an election for example is vitally important in my opinion. - To be fair, I don't know much about Israel. Just that the situation you have over there is very complicated and not something you could exactly call „peace“. - I am sometimes reminded of the fact that Gunwook was born in 2005 and that just feels wrong. - Yeah, the thing is, when Enhypen just had their debut, there were a bunch of grown ass women projecting their creepy sexual fantasies onto Ni-ki. The kid was 15 years old at the time. Ew. The gender does not matter to me. If an adult talks about a minor in that way, that is disgusting and it needs to stop immediately. - Lip J's (34 y/o) comments towards Yujin (16 y/o) are crossing a line for me. She's being creepy, plain and simple. - I love me a good musical. Grew up on Disney. - Seungeon GOES for it and then immediately forgets the lyrics, nice. I don't know if they allowed this here but when I did theatre acting, I was instructed to straight up ask a prompter for my lines if I ever forgot. Yes, even in front of a live audience. Most times I would only need like two words to remember and get back into it. - Takuto, you don't need to shout, we can hear you loud and clear 😂 (Nintendo) Switch - To be fair, Koo-young is still the strictest dance master here but Young-joon won't go easy on you either. - Jongwoo's original team did him so dirty. - It also really sucks to see how much of a hit Keita's confidence has gotten, to the point where he voluntarily takes the smallest part in the song. - How wild would that be? Someone who was previously a contestant taking on the role of a master in a later season. - The colour scheme is very Glitch Mode. - Viki to this day just forgot to sub that one part, ok - Very good performance. - Park Hanbin is built different, this man is ridiculous. Say My Name (not the Ateez one) - You are absolutely right, there is a big amount of audio editing in this show. - Matthew is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve, maybe to a fault. - As a song, this is my least favourite of the five but the execution was flawless. I have nothing to complain about. And Matthew SHONE in his part. (I am so) Over (this performance, just end) Me (now) - With the name Overdose I can only think of the EXO song. - To add to your comment about respecting the art: we're also at the part of the competition where only the best of the best can continue. Where only those who REALLY want it still deserve to be here. - The silence when they're asked how the practice is going speaks volumes. - „It's okay, I can watch sexy stuff too.“ Spoken like a true 16 year old - They really saved the best for last. - Also, Vocalist Ricky, where the hell have you been this entire show? - For some reason, his romanised name is spelled as Chen Kuan Jui, but he clearly pronounces it as Chen Kuan Rrrrrui :D But seriously, the Korean spelling also gives us Cheon Gwan Rui. Why did they change the R into a J for the Latin spelling? - The Korean fans do not like Jay for some reason. Right, before the results, here is my personal ranking: #5: SuperCharger The song itself is actually my favourite of the bunch. But I can't deny that the performance left a bit to be desired. These members were at a massive disadvantage and they still managed to deliver a good performance but I gotta be honest, all of the other teams were better. 7/10. #4: Switch Similar disadvantage where most of the members came into this song late but overall this team just had more talent behind it. The execution was much better, much cleaner. 9/10. #3: Say My Name Listen, this is my own subjective ranking. If I were to look at it with an objective eye, this is absolutely perfect. But I'm just not huge on the song, that's why I rank it lower. Is that unfair? Yes. But my personal ranking absolutely does not matter so who cares? 9/10. #2: En Garde This is REALLY close. Gunwook is just the fucking man. Ticking clock gesture. aaaaaaa. 10/10. #1: Over Me i am struggling. 10/10. Since you gave your top 3 songs, here's my ranking of the songs, regardless of the performances: SuperCharger > En Garde > Over Me > Switch > Say My Name Next week will be fun again 🙂
