Like you said I wish the beginning fan meeting segment was longer. They could have cut an hour from last weeks episode to give up more of this. Mnet's portrayal of Fu Ya Ning as the villain from episode 1 was so effective that fans were still hating on her despite Yujin going on social media and saying that everything is cool. It took Yujin dancing helicopter with Fu Ya Ning for everyone to shut up about it. Queen Bora objectively is the best vocalist on the show so why nobody ever votes for her despite her proving herself every chance she gets I'll never know. I think U+ME=Love had the best teamwork. Mashiro proving herself as a leader again. Isn't she undefeated as leader? Anyways I loved how the dance master came in to check on them. I'm assuming he was worried because they were the only team with members added after the elimination the day before. Even though Kim Suyeon made some mistakes he understood that they were still learning it but that they were going to be fine as long as they didn't try to make it too cute. I like how Shana essentially said that to Suyeon. Su Rui Qi is my favorite C group member so I may be biased, but being demotivated right after all the masters say you sucked and that Fu Ya NIng should take your part is completely understandable. I swear she probably only yawned once and mnet edited it from 3 different angles :) Usually when someone doesn't do well in the mid evaluation they get some constructive criticism and told that they need to work harder before the real performance. Obviously Su Rui Qi shouldn't have brought down the mood of the team but after sulking for a bit she pulled it together. During the Snake performance I realized Cai Bing was still here. I almost didn't notice since mnet practically edited her out :) I agree with you on the rankings. Snake was really good but the few mistakes meant I couldn't vote for it above U+ME team. That dance break was pretty iconic. There's a reason why Dayeon, Hikaru, and XiaoTing seem to do every kepler dance break in Queendom2. So I'm assuming you never watched the actual O.O.O performance. They've shown countless clips of it during the show but they never actually showed it during GP999. It was released on Youtube before the show aired and that's what the girls were originally ranked by. As Jingoo mentioned at the end the next mission is going to have something to do with O.O.O so you might want to watch that performance at some point. I think we managed this aspect of the "pandemic" well. Korea has never had confinement or anything really constraining in terms of our freedom. several countries have prevented their people from leaving their homes. We have been quite free. many countries have also simply canceled all kinds of events. We canceled very little. have just tried to be inventive the kpop industry could not stop for 2 years it would have been dramatic. so agencies and broadcasting channels have found these kinds of solutions. fan meetings in cars guerrilla concerts in cars or online. but I was very sad for the groups that started in 2020 who often performed without audiences or with limited audiences. most of the music shows were without an audience for 1 year so the groups competed in ingenuity to be able to communicate with their fans.

yes I agree at the time at this moment of the show when I was making the dream group in my head I could see a vocal line with Bora and Chaehyun. sad for Bora but I'm glad that at least one of the two was able to be part of the group. -yes I agree with you DG I must be one of the rare Koreans not to wear a mask. But in Seoul it has been usual for many people since 2001/2005. a lot of polution and virus in our country. but also a lot of conformity if a majority of people wear the mask the others will do it too even if it is useless. -the team shoot was adorable frankly if KEP1ER had started with these members I would have supported them as much as Kepl1ER now. Yujin is indisputably irreplaceable in all group compositions, she makes the difference no matter the concept. RUAN also stood out with those facial expressions and Myah is just way too adorable. great job for this group. -the UTOPIA team also touched me a lot this group has the best vocalist of the show and if they had started like that they could have competed with groups like Purple kiss, DC, Red Velvet or Aespa vocally. YESEO has a lot of screen time but she is an incredible center she is obviously very pretty but she is also very expressive. She always does incredible performances like that very touching performance in FATE. -U+ME team did a good job especially with the rearrangement of their group and the little time they had. once again As YUJIN and Dayeon can see that Mashiro is an excellent leader but I'm not a fan of the song I don't think there is a really memorable moment in this performance the girls are perfect but the song does not match with my tastes. -the SNAKE team without problem the most popular song of the show all like RUMOR with IZ*ONE after produce 48 this kind of song is perfect for the "girl crush" concept and the members are just ultra popular and charismatic. times quant have put in the same team all the most charismatic girls and with their small ego it can create tension and once again Dayeon has shown that she was a very good leader. she is the hardest team to lead . the performance itself was really very cool . so yes Fu ya ning's voice cracked and for 5 seconds the rhythm was too fast but this band had crazy potential . frankly I imagine them starting against LESSERAFIM ,IVE ,NEW JEANS and NMIXX. all the teams performed the following week at MCOUTDOWN if you want to DG the MEDUSA team gives a top performance and the MCOUTNDOWN version of SNAKE is perfect. -if I have to rank the performance of this round it is 1 team SHOOT everyone is perfect they don't make any mistakes and above all they have fun 2 UTOPIA and SNAKE both teams made mistakes but the 2 songs are very very cool. 3 TEAM U+ ME was cool and worked well but I don't like the song.

- "How Bora didn't make it is beyond me". I totally agree. Although that does mean you have to drop someone from Kep1er as well. I'm getting veeeery curious who your final top 9 will be. - I have stopped questioning dumb Covid regulations a long time ago. - I liked seeing Dayeon doing Kick It. Would've loved to see Suyeon perform it though. - Since all/some cars had cameras in them, I'm sure they also made sure that they could hear/see the performances well enough. - During the creation mission each team also made a costumed dance practice video. I can definitely recommend the one for Snake. Fu Ya Ning as a ladybug is something else :D https://youtu.be/EtucXyCud4Q - "Hot, Hot. Reminds me of that cover Blackpink did". Yeah, they covered "So Hot" by Wondergirls, and coincidentally there's a Wondergirl judge (Sunmi) :) - Hsin Wei really came a long wei ;) From entering GP999 as dead last to still be around. - Although Dreamcatcher doesn't have a song called "Utopia", their Odd Eye album is called: Dystopia: Road to Utopia. - Yeah, I also really like SuYeon. One of the reasons is the "cat" eyes (like Cai Bing, ITZY's Yeji, WJSN's Yeoreum, etc.) - After U+Me=Love the judges said: "Snake team should be nervous". That's not a really nice thing to say for the Snake team who still had to perform. Snake - Why do I feel that the budget for this performance was double that of the others? (fireworks, etc) - The judge said she suggested Fu Ya Ning to be main vocal and then ... it became too much greed? Girl, what are you saying? Following YOUR advice is too much greed?

Oh, I think I see what Bahiyyih's problem is... she is a great number 2. I think I should explain before some Kep1ians lynch me. What I mean is she is absolutely stable in dance and vocals. She seems to always be helping whoever is in charge, like Dayeon with the choreo. Here she was supporting Yujin after the mid-time evalutaion-beat-down. I haven't seen the judges every mention her negatively or saw her making mistakes, granted we see are very rarely at all, but still. But she also never went for any "killing part" or "main vocal" or "leader" position. She was never (visibly) praised by the judges and you have to explicitly look for her to see her parts in the performances. I know 2-3 people in my job that are like that. They are by far my favorite colleagues. Get the job done, better than expected, don't make a fuss about it and help were needed without any boot-licking or self-aggrandizement. However I think while her members probably love her for that, it's a bad attitude for the idol business. I hope she can build some kind of profile and make herself shine a bit more.

Especially when you're a child? - They're using a radio signal to transmit the music directly into the car's sound system. - And Bora just did that on the spot, no preparation. She would've been great in Kep1er but I'm kind of glad she can still be active with Cherry Bullet instead. Now if only FNC would actually promote them, that'd be great. - We had some car concerts here in 2020 and they worked by transmitting a radio signal. Everyone set their radio to the designated frequency and listened to their car's own speakers. - Hey, it gets weirder. If you get on a train from the Netherlands into Germany, as soon as you cross the border you have to put on your mask. Even though you've already been in that train car with all of the same people for the past hour. The Netherlands don't have mask rules for public transport anymore but Germany still does. But fear not! Germany is dropping its mask rules for local transit. Not long distance though. Because as we all know, passengers on slow trains are much less contagious than passengers on fast trains. Logic! - Fully agreed. If anything, THIS is the thing they should have milked! - Those foil balloons are nearly impossible to blow up with your own lungs. - Shoot as a song isn't for me but the performance was really nice. - Quite the contrast, right? But CLC actually had some songs on the cute side themselves. Especially in their early discography. Pepe and High Heels are two songs that come to mind. - Let's go Utopia! My favourite song in this round! - They ranked the best and worst girls from each country separately. Chaehyun is Korean, Xingqiao is Chinese. - Like I said, my favourite song in this round. It REEKS of Gfriend, to a degree that's not even funny anymore. And let me tell you, I need a lot more Gfriend-type stuff in my life. This was magical. Shame about Chaehyun being so nervous though. - Oh boy, do I have some interesting info about the final ranking for you whenever you get to the final episode. - I think I mentioned how stacked the U+M=L team is under a previous episode. Glad to be reminded that I wasn't wrong :D - I too have an unhealthy crush on Xiaoting. - Argh, come on Yaning! - I can't help but wonder what would've happened if Ruiqi kept the main vocal part. Would she have gotten better and saved this performance? - Math team executed their song the best imo. Good to see that the judges agree.

MAY BE A SPOILER I voted sooo much for su yeon!! She was my number one pick and it made me upset that she always seemed to barley get by. Even in the final she got 10th place almost making the group. I think that if they hadn’t changed the voting system for the final to where most of the votes came from Korea, then we would be seeing a totally different group of girls rn. I think yurina and Bora would be in the group, xiao ting would have placed higher and Bahiyyah wouldn’t be in the group at all sadly.

Doesn't happen often, but I pretty much agree with everything you said, DG. U+Me=Love was amazing. Snake was ok-ish. Xiao Ting was definitely the chandelier of that performance. However I think the "meddling" of the judges, the change of main vocal, did more bad than good in the end. Fu Ya Ning might have been the better choice at the beginning, but the way this happened, there Su Ri Qis confidence took a major hit and Fu Ya Ning was under way too much pressure. All the more curious, that Kep1ers final concept seems pretty close to "Shoot!".
