Christine Copeland aka Christine's Culinary Quest

So to explain something, most of the languages here: chinese, japanese, korean don't repeat subjects like engliish does (ex: restating I when talking about yourself) If it's understood what you are talking about the subject often isn't stated at all. The i, i, i repetition is the translation. They're asked questions about themselves primarily so it's not weird to often have lots of "I" statements when it's translated into english. It just sticks out sometimes to us as the audience because they've been presented in a potentially self-centered way so it feels like a red flag.

The elimination episodes are definitely better when there's no knowledge of who got through and even then it was still long and annoying. But at least then the long waits made sense because there was tension/anticipation.

for this kind of show in general they have between 3 days and 6 days to train. with an evaluation of their mentors to arrange or modify the training or give them vocal advice after 2 days. and a rehersal the same day or the day before the show

there were only a few months between GIRLS PLANET 999 and QUEENDOM 2 but they are 2 very different shows. For GP999 the girls lived together for 3 months and they trained every day. for QUEENDOM the girls had their normal activity (radio, music show, promotion) at the same time as their training for QUEENDOM. but it takes less time. but actually it is a very sustained rhythm that few people could support.

It's interesting that you talk about the screen time that some girls have. it is obvious that since the beginning we have seen a lot of girls like Yujin, Dayeon, Hikaru, Xiaoting, Cai bin, Fu ya ning, or mashiro for the simple and good reason that they have all been at least once or leader of their teams or at the center of a tension. but suddenly, whether for good or bad, they have more visibility than other girls. It is also interesting to see who is the most appreciated or popular among the girls. We can see how much DAYEON, WENG ZHE, XIAO TING, YUJIN or HIKARU are beloved bye the other girls

THE biggest surprise of this ranking is the unexpected elimination of DO AH and JIWON 2 confirmed idols who have already made their debut and who were popular enough to reach at least the final.

- First off, what a weird system we get here where all of the contestants divide and train their parts, and then some of them get eliminated before performing it??? So a group's main vocal might be gone, or you made choreo for 13 ppl and now you only have 6 left... What was the point? - Like Jared and Fabrice already mentioned, (one of) the biggest surprises here is Jiwon being eliminated, so let me give her a bit of a shoutout: She is the center of Cherry Bullet, she was ranked K11 before the last round, then aced that ITZY In The Morning performance with Ya Ning and Mashiro, and suddenly she is K16(!) and gets eliminated... :'( Also, she gets chosen in this episode by her team to be main vocalist, gets complimented by the coach that she was made to be main vocalist for this song, and now we will never get to see/hear it :( I hope you will react to Cherry Bullet one day so you get to see Jiwon, Bora, and May perform together. My favourite song is "Hands Up". - Also I think it's about time to address the so-called elephant in the room, and that is Huening Bahiyyih. I don't know if anyone else has already mentioned this but she was probably the biggest controversial topic. Without going into too much detail about claims that ppl were mass-buying cheap sim cards, or ppl just voting for her because she is the sister of Huening Kai, etc. (I encourage to do your own research), let me just ask you this: Do you agree with all the votes she got? Can you recall something memorable about her? Should she been given more screen time? Has she been a leader? Has she been a main vocalist? Main dancer? Unexpected good rap performance? Was she very funny? Standout expressions? Would you give her the rank she got or would you rather see a few others there? Don't get me wrong, I want the whole top 30 in the top 9, but that's just not possible. But I DO think it's interesting why her? - If I think about all the "problematic" girls so far (Fu Ya Ning, Cai Bing, one of the twins) they are all not korean. And I'll leave it at that ;) - When the episode 'started' after 45 minutes, and you joked whether you would skip it next time, I was already thinking: those were probably the most fun minutes of the entire episode :D - I'm sure Yurina was very happy for Xiaoting to be #1 but I have a feeling she was even more happy about not having to wear the #1 mark/pressure anymore. - I don't remember who was the "Android 18" in Queendom 2, but I have a hard time thinking it was Umji. Also, don't you think Cai Bing looks like Android 17?

I did a quick check on Yurina and Su Rui Qi. The two girls who I think would absolutely win this. Didn't find much about Su Rui Qi except she had dinner with Handong this week 😄 So I guess she's in Korea which could mean she's got business there. Yurina... well she got two singles out who are doing decent. She modeled for YSL, Dior, Prada and Fendi. And she is set to run at the "Tokyo Girls" fashion show. Also she seems to have a ton of side activities. You could say she is rather... big in Japan.

- Fun times with eliminations! - Oh fuck, imagine Mnet actually using deepfakes to drag contestants on the upcoming Boys Planet. - Like I said under the last episode, I don't think that Cai Bing was a good leader but the way Mnet villified her was just too much. - I saw on Instagram that Su Ruiqi recently performed solo at a festival in NYC that had a bunch of other Chinese artists, including EXO's Lay Zhang. And she's friends with Dreamcatcher's Handong! - That must be so freaky. Come into a room and there's 10+ people in formation all going a̴͙̍a̶̡̽a̵̲͘a̶̛̖ä̸̫ḁ̷̌a̵͕̽a̸͉͒ȃ̶̻a̵͇͋ - It's really not that complicated. They were just told to go to a room without knowing the song that belongs to the room. Song is revealed as soon as everyone is there. But they already have their own guess based on who's in the room. - It's Mnet, they milk EVERYTHING. - Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt. - And that's why I didn't want Kep1er to participate in Queendom 2. It was way too soon after GP999. They had already gone through enough shit here. - Kep1er had my favourite finale performance on Queendom in fact. - Good lord, your pronounciation of Hyerim is atrocious 😂 And that pun does not work with how you actually say her name. - Do you remember the 21st night of September? - I don't think Cai Bing is being malicious, she's just not competent at being a leader. - SPONSOR TIME - So who's the idiot sandwich here? - I actually ate at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants in London a few years ago. For how overpriced it was, the food was pretty meh. - And thus the milking begins. Eurgh. - You FEEL like Dayeon will make it? Dude, she is in Kep1er. Would be pretty weird if she didn't make it here 😂 - I don't get this whole Top 3 candidate thing. Like, all of them survived, why does it matter so much who's first that you make an entire extra announcement out of it? This episode is already way too long and this just adds unnecessary bloat. - How, after all this, Yurina did not get into Kep1er is beyond me. - You MAY now go to your seat. - Top 9, let's fucking drag it out even more. - Of course there aren't any performances in this episode. This is all eliminations and time wasting bullshit. - The camera doesn't have any clothes on, can't have that on a family friendly show. - OH MY GOD GET TO THE FUCKING POINT - I'm honestly not even watching anymore. What does Mnet stand to gain from dragging out these episodes so much? They must have so many people just turning off mid-episode because it's honestly really fucking boring, I just don't get it? - Shen Xiaoting, Kawaguchi Yurina, Sakamoto Mashiro, Ezaki Hikaru, Choi Yujin, Su Ruiqi, Huang Xingqiao, Cai Bing, Kim Chaehyun. 5 Kep1er members. Interesting lineup. - Well, FINALLY the top 9 stuff is done. I don't understand why they make such a big deal out of the order within top 9. It. Does. Not. Matter. At least we can now get back to the Planet Pass, that does luckily matter. - IT'S OVER. IT'S FINALLY OVER. I WILL NEVER WATCH THIS AGAIN. - Honestly, I'd be for a completely different show next. I need a break from the Produce format after this.

Okayy, let's get into what the eliminated girls have been up to. Divided by country this time. Korea: #18: Lee Chaeyun is a trainee under FNC Entertainment (SF9, Cherry Bullet, P1Harmony, etc.). She's also active on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/leechaeyun.official/) and her Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@chaeyun) where she uploads regular vlogs. #17: Choi Yeyoung is part of the predebut girl group Bebez along with Ryu Sion and Joung Min who got eliminated in the last round. However, as this group is under BBC, I sincerely hope these girls get the fuck out of there as fast as possible and find a new company. #16: Huh Jiwon (https://www.instagram.com/jiwxoxni/) is the lead vocalist of Cherry Bullet. Along with Kim Bora and May who both survived, she's one of three members of that group that participated on this show. I fucking love Cherry Bullet. Love So Sweet is one of the best songs released in 2021. I actually teared up when I heard it live at the MIK Festival in London. And MIK have been dropping hints about their next lineup, one of which was a cherry emoji. Maybe I'll get to hear this again in Paris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OZPwJdl_4w I don't like to request stuff from you because I know it just puts unnecessary stress on you but if you find the time, Cherry Bullet's Love So Sweet is a must! #15: Kim Hyerim (https://www.instagram.com/hye_rim_7/) was in two different groups before this show, Limesoda and Aqua. Since then, she signed with a new label and has made her solo debut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBosRwxd0h4 #14: Lee Hyewon is active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/leehyewon.official/ #13: An Jeongmin's current status is unknown. #12: Jeong Jiyoon was recently added to ICHILLIN' with their latest comeback. And I gotta say, she fits this group like a glove: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6hTxNCwRQ8 #11: Yoon Jia (https://www.instagram.com/nxnjixa/) made her debut as the main rapper of mimiirose. I remember you put them up in a poll on Youtube a while back. If you're still interested, here's their debut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LOA3akjNSA (trust me, it's really damn good). And side note, I really didn't remember that she was eliminated here. She just made such an impression on me the first time round that I now somehow thought that she had survived at least another round. Guess not. Huh. #10: Kim Suyeon survived through Planet Pass. #9: Kim Doah is a member of Fanatics. I talked about that group and how we have no idea if they're even still a thing under the last elimination episode. At least she's still active on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/lcirndxah/) and has started her own Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@KIMDOAHCHERRY Japan: #18: Hayase Hana debuted in ILY:1 along with four other girls from this show. #17: Fujimoto Ayaka is part of an upcoming girl group currently known as ON1 Rookies. We don't know when they'll debut as they're still in the process of revealing members. If you want to follow them, this is the group's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/on1_rookies/ #16: Shima Moka is active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/danc_emoka/ #15: Arai Risako has an Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/arai_risako_67/) and a Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@arairisako3066) but hasn't posted on either since she went to Korea three months ago. Maybe she joined a Kpop company and is training to debut in Korea? Who knows. #14: Sakamoto Shihona is active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tlghsk_nymphaea/ #13: Yamauchi Moana (doesn't that name remind you of a certain Disney princess?) is active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/moana.nny17/ #12: Kuwahara Ayana is apparently rumored to join tripleS. It's possible, there are still 14 slots left to be filled and she has recently deleted her personal social media. #11: Sakurai Miu (probably not related to the man who made Smash Bros) is also a rumored member of tripleS. I'm curious to see if any of that's true. #10: Kubo Reina used to be in the Jpop group Prizmmy. These days she's just active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reina_kubo_official/ #9: Kamimoto Kotone survived through Planet Pass. China: #18: Leung Cheukying is active on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/chereeeeena/). My source for all of this also states that she releases solo music but I haven't been able to find any of it. #17: Wu Tammy is active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/iamtammywu/ #16: Li Chiayi is the last member of Fanatics who participated on GP999. This is her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chiayilee_/ #15: Hsu Nientzu is under FNC Entertainment but we don't know much more than that. #14: Zhang Luofei is active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dollyyy0218/ #13: Zhou Xinyu survived through Planet Pass. #12: Wang Yale is active on Weibo but I can't access that from Germany without the CCP spying on my ass, so no link here. #11: Yang Zige is under Yue Hua Entertainment (Everglow) and active on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/real_yzg/ #10: Li Yiman is apparently an actress now if her Instagram bio is anything to go by: https://www.instagram.com/im__0218/ #9: Liang Jiao returned to her group GNZ48 Team G and shares an Instagram account with her twin sister: https://www.instagram.com/dxq_joess/ Special mention goes out to Xu Ziyin who left the show after this. She ranked #8 and you probably saw it in her face that she wasn't exactly thrilled. Her official reasons for leaving are health problems but she probably also had enough of Mnet's bullshit and honestly, I can't blame her. She's active on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/roada_96/) and also releases solo music under the name Roada. I don't know if any of the uploads on Youtube are official, as she herself only links to a Chinese site called 5sing but this is what I could find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOTHHsU_orI

Su Ruiqi performed at the MetaMoon Festival in NYC on November 26th, along with artists like Lay Zhang and Amber Liu.

Im new here. just want to say that mnet also cut the parts where the masters praise the other girls. Example is Shana being praised was aired but nothing on chaehyun. Lot of people were quick to point out that mnet is being shady to the trainees but nobody is saying anything how the masters can be "evil edited" too. Sunmi especially got a lot of hate because of it.

Daniel Goland

That's so true, damn! Cause I was a bit confused over Sunmi's thoughts and facial expressions in some instances!
