My take on why her PR team didn't try to show that she was defending Sang Tae was because they didn't know. The director was off bribing that book reviewer and apparently the assistant director was out for a smoke. Obviously the news would edit out the part where she's standing up for someone with autism and they couldn't get a hold of her to find out the entire story. Since they've been covering up for her for years they didn't think oh maybe she was doing something good this time :) Loved your reaction as always. I was looking forward to this all week!

My perspective: As they said in the scene: the video was first shared in a mothers forum and went viral from there until it got big enough that the news picked it up. Of course the "complete" footage never was uploaded in the forum. I bet the poster wanted to create that very specific impression when editing and uploading the footage to other mothers. We all know how shitstorms on the internet go these days, how they get started with skewed perspectives or half truths, how quickly people jump to conclusions especially when its about a big celebrity and how happy "news" pick it up because it creates attention and views. I bet this is also the reason why Ko Moon-young purposefully made it about herself ("apologize to me... you ruined my event"). Now the brothers are out of "harms way" (or the spotlight / shitstorm) and its all about her. Its the scandal about Ko Moon-young that brings in the views. Nobody cares about the two brothers anymore (or sadly also what "really" happened). The narrative is set now. I would think, its to late now to "tell the truth" from the publishing companies point of view. That rarely ever works when you're in the focus of the shitstorm. Nobody believes you. Better hold on tight and ride out the storm or find another way to calm it down (for example by bribing the parents of the kid to change their story or just shut up). That's how the world, social media and the news cycle works these days, sadly.

This is one of the shows deep impression on me. I really liked it because of how realistic it is on some aspects and the OST is my type of music. The show also matching my view on the world: complicated and a little bit twisted (which not necessarily means bad).

Well, I think Moon Gang-tae-ssi is in the perfect position, media wise and following his recent move to a small town, to get a restraining order.

Also, the awareness on disabilities in Korea is not the greatest

The song you liked was "In Silence" by Janet Suhh. Speaking of great OST songs, I still hope you will check out the main song from Hotel Del Luna in full one day: "Done for me" by Punch.

So, I did end up waiting for your reaction. Busy weekend. Part of which was watching Hellbound with my youngest daughter. A K-drama exploring morality and religion. I'm still sort of processing this weeks episode. There is a lot to say about the story and the effects of severe trauma. I have theory about what's going to be revealed. In the past I've been pretty accurate with theories like this. But K-Drama's have been pretty good at misleading me and setting me up for a surprise reveal. That's part of why I've really enjoyed exploring K-Dramas. :) There's a lot of quality writing that just doesn't exist in American TV and Movies anymore.

- Bro what. But you know, I kinda see it, he would fit into Exo. - If you want to see a show that has truly amazing casting in regards to the child versions of their characters, watch Dark. It's like they cast the children of the main actors, with how uncanny the resemblence is. And no, I will not stop talking about Dark on every opportunity I get. - Depends on which Korean movies you've seen. All of Park Jin-joo's roles are listed here: https://asianwiki.com/Park_Jin-Joo - Call me greedy but I would've taken that money. - I relate to Jae-su a bit too much in that scene. I have always been just as awkward with all of my crushes. - Hey, the unsolved murder of your mother is not something you can easily open up about to anyone. - God damn it Jae-su. - Look Gang-tae, I get that you want to avoid Ko Mun-yeong but letting your brother stand in line by himself might not be the best idea. - From what I've heard, the depiction of autism in this show is really accurate. And I gotta say, Oh Jung-se is absolutely amazing in the role of Sang-tae. - I think Mun-yeong just generally doesn't give a fuck about how others see her. - I'm a 빛 - Wow what the fuck, the INSTANT he said „Close your eyes“ your video broke and my screen went black. - I don't know the name of the classical piece either but you can watch the classical musicians over at ReacttotheK react to Shut Down and they'll explain it. Amazing reaction channel btw, I highly recommend it if you don't know it yet. Extremely deep dives into the composition and musical structures of Kpop songs. - In some aspects Ko Mun-yeong reminds me a bit of Jang Man-wol in how quickly she gets obsessed with the male protagonist and demands him to be by her side at all times. - What the fuck kinda bus is that where you can just open the window like that. We don't get those in Germany, what the hell? - Also, how is Gang-tae resting his head against the bus window without getting a concussion from the vibrations? - Nonono, this is Namsung. Totally different company. (but for real, unless you're explicitly sponsored, you're not allowed to show or even just mention any brands on Korean TV, that's why they changed it. It's also why a lot of cars in Kdramas have fake logos. Or the drama only uses cars from one brand. In this case Volvo.) - Yeah, but 2,000 € is still way too expensive for a phone. No matter how good it is. Imagine how many concert ticket you could get for that money. - Just wait until you get to Vincenzo. That's where the sponsorships get stupid. - Hehe yeah, maybe those bedtime stories are part of the reason I turned out the way I did. Who knows 😬 - I think Exo could tell her a thing or two about Obsession. - Jared and Guthwulf already shared their perspective about the PR disaster and I see it the same way as them. Not much to add here.

-I don't think that Ko Mun-yeong's obsession is new. I think it has grown over years as she's thought about scaring off Gang-tae. She now has a second chance and she's not going to let him go so easily. -I'm not sure what your talking about with the bus. :) I can't recall the specific scene in the show. I'll try to look it up if i get the chance. But it never even registered to me as something unusual. Honestly though, I don't think I've ridden a bus in close to 30 years. Mass transit in America is no where near what it is in Germany. -not sure I understand any hate towards Samsung. :) They aren't anywhere near as bad as Apple for making things proprietary. I have a friend that I ride with who has one of those folding phones. She and her girlfriend loves it. It's super cool tech. Seems unnecessary to me. :)
