Well, sorry to inform you but that chandelier is by no means unique :P In fact, all of the chandelier scenes look so similar to the ones in NCT U - Make A Wish that I had to go back and check if they were actually using the exact same chandelier. They weren't but the similarity is uncanny. "Blackpink on a budget" That was my first impression of this song. I do like it better now on a second listen but I'll have to accept that they'll most likely never reach the heights of Got That Boom ever again. The more subsequent releases I hear, the more I think Got That Boom was just a fluke. Doesn't help that their main vocalist Denise left after GTB and while the two new girls are good, Secret Number kind of lost their heart and soul with Denise. I'm probably being way too harsh on them but Got That Boom was just that good. It created an expectation that they were sadly not able to fulfill thus far.

I've checked them out before, and I have the same issue with them that I do with some other girl groups, and that's the lack of a singer with that lower register to balance out their sound. If that isn't there, it all seems to run together. I'm not dumping on them, they're very talented and I wish them all the success, but they're not for me. I wonder why, when they're putting a group together, it never occurs to them to have someone with a lower voice who can provide a counterpoint to and highlight those higher ranges. Like I've said, Jisoo and Jenny's lower voices make Rose's voice really pop by contrast. A good song, and well performed, though.

I was looking at something else and it reminded me about something with Secret Number Right now MNet is doing an online poll competition with some lesser-known groups called Road To Max. The first step allows for the winners to get to perform a special stage on M Countdown, then in the future, those winners will compete to appear on KCon, and then finally at Mama. The first round was completed last month, and the 3 winning groups were Secret Number, DKZ, and Weki Meki. I don't know DKZ, but I'm quite familiar with Weki Meki. They are a very unrated group who have been around for a few years. They have been moving to a more mature sound over the last few years and I think you would enjoy their last song, Siesta. The next round of voting recently opened up. Among the groups that are in the running are Purple Kiss and Pixy.
