The giving of health drinks to staff on behalf of a co-member/friend is a way of showing support in the Korean entertainment industry—just like sending coffee trucks (which you have seen in the making of the Lalisa MV). What really attracted me to Blackpink, aside from their talent and music and beauty, is their friendship. You will feel the authenticity. When Jennie first went solo, on her first show at Inkigayo, Jisoo also gave away health drinks, and all of them went there to surprise her—the shoot was at around 5 a.m. (the girls didn’t sleep since they were so excited for her). And of course, they showing up on each other’s solo projects to express support. During Rosé’s solo, you can feel how they really cared for her. All of them were busy with solo activities that time so they each went on their own way to show support for her. It was so heartwarming. Now, on to kpop in general. The sad thing is that the idols are generally ok with each other, and a lot of idols are friends in real life (Twice’s Nayeon and Jennie and Jisoo; Red Velvet’s Irene and Jennie; the whole of Red Velvet and Blackpink; GOT7’s Bambam and Lisa; the whole of GOT7 and Blackpink; the Thai idol line—CLC’s Sorn, (G)-IDLE’s Minnie, and Lisa; Twice’s Chaeyoung and Rosé; Girls’ Day’s Hyeri and Rosé and Jisoo; Winner’s Mino and Jennie; Stray Kids’ Bang Chan and Lisa; Blackpink and Somi; and countless others) but the fans are the ones causing a lot of unnecessary fuss and wars. As for the background, the plain is fine as it allows us to focus more on you and the video ☺️

Watching KPop, especially the "reality TV" stuff is really uplifting. The sarcastic part of my brain says "by design". But still... my mental health certainly took a hit these last two years and I glad to have found something that never fails to cheer me up.
