Let's face it: this is a cool gun.  It should and probably will be in SciFi movies. Just like my wife, on looks alone she wins. The KelTec P50 gives competition to 5.7x28mm guns such as the Ruger 57, FN Five Seven, Ruger LC Carbine, and maybe even to FN PS90.

Discussion on this will ensue. KT has had many QC probs in the past and I open with this in joking fashion; did this P50 also experience these issues?  Hmmm, we'll see in the video.

Don't forget this is still a pistol. When filmed, putting on a pistol brace was still legal and that would transform this gun into something special. We tested it as a pistol w/o brace however...so sad. But the damn commies are always trying to outlaw everything and this will eventually be banned [this is in play right now in fact]. Including the gun as a whole: standard capacity magazine is 50 rounds for instance. So this is another naughty black gun that these f-ers will want to ban.

I remind you of the financial and power realities of the caliber and discuss all the features.  In the end you may be surprised at my recommendation of the P50.

You can criticize Kel Tec on a lot of things but innovation is not one of them. At least they take chances with new products. Kel Tec = Ruger R&D ;-)

Thanks for the vid, Nutn! I'm a little behind getting to watching it. The P50 does look like a lot of fun! On the topic of 5.7 options, do you have plans to review/field test Palmetto's offering, the Rock? I'm curious about 5.7 as a handgun offering, and the Rock appears to be the best value of what's on the market currently. I know ammo is expensive, but I know your vid would be done right!
