Time for a sleeping bag review. When the thieves stole my amazing 1990s rectangular bags (WTH) I went on a hunt for replacements. Now you might know that this focus is on a basecamp, not backpacking sleeping bag. That means I can take more size and weight for more comfort! After all it's not always fun being cooped up as a mummy. Here I introduce you to the Coleman "Big Basin 15º) bag. We'll cover the details quickly and I'll tell you when, in spite of a couple of quirks, it's highly recommended at its price level.

Love the camping videos. Everything from backpacking to basecamping from a vehicle/trailer. I camped all over US using a backpacking set-up on a KLR650 motorcycle. Loved that bike. Best bag I've found for 4-season use, backpacking or basecamping? Sierra Designs Backcountry bed. No zippers and roomy at shoulders for side sleepers. Got me a 20* and wife a 0* since she tends to be colder than me. We're cozy down to 30 in a tent with those. They make a double bag with the same design that I may add to mix one day, and pass my bag down to kiddo 1, and wife's bag to kiddo 2 (on the way!).
