Maybe taking its inspiration from the Benchmade Triage, the Kershaw Barricade is sold as a value rescue blade.  These days most consider a rescue knife to incorporate a safety cutter and a glass breaker; the 8650 has both (and one works well the other not so much).  Cuttings tests shown.  We'll look at all that and the show how the Barricade is actually a good EDC knife with its assisted opening, good color, low price, and deep carry clip.

"Don't even act like you would!" lol some of us need those keep-it-real comments coming in regularly, you could probably sprinkle those in a little more. And like you say, the rescue cutter doesn't work... so what's the point. Just another $20 Kershaw and they're ALL the same. I've had pretty bad luck with 'em. I think I lucked out with a Cryo for a long time, but the torsion bar (spring-assist) finally broke. I sent it for warranty just to see how their service was, and they were great, they just replaced it. But the one I got has the same problem every other Kershaw has (and what my original Cryo DIDN'T for whatever reason): they don't center. The blade rubs the frame and you can't adjust the pivot without locking it closed. I know it's $20 but there are WAY better quality $30-40 knives out there, I don't see how they're worth anyone's time.

I had the original Kershaw shuffle, should still have it somewhere laying around, I used it solely as a knife, ground all the other junk off, handy little blade!
