Notes About Upcoming Patreon Sales Tax + Requesting Refunds (Patreon)

No fun images in this post: instead I thought I'd mention two money related things. 

1) Upcoming Sales Tax: Patreon will soon be adding Sales Tax to certain regions (mainly US states and a few other countries) by default on 1st July. This will add a little extra cost on top of your current pledge. A lot of regions already do this (I pay VAT on almost anything I buy online, including Patreon), but if you're not doing so, have a quick read through this and see if this affects you. Even me adding your name to an animation counts as a taxable item, apparently!

2) Issuing Refunds: I have no problem issuing a refund if you cannot use my content or are displeased in some way, but asking for a refund via the exit survey is not the way to do it, as the exit surveys are anonymous and if multiple people delete their pledges at the same time, it's impossible to tell who is asking. Please message me directly if you wish to refund your pledge (within a reasonable time limit, though—if your pledge was from a year ago, you waited a bit too long to ask...)
